Rancho Mirage Country Club
About
This course sits at the intersection of two of the most famous roads in Palm Springs: Bob Hope Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive. Yet, it's one of the better kept secrets in the golf scene. Rancho Mirage Country Club in Ranch Mirage is a semi-private club available to outside play through stay & play packages so it does not do a lot of publicity.
There are 10 lakes, tons of palm trees and the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains to catch your eyes. The course itself is largely flat and inviting for the average hacker. It measures only 6,111 yards from the back tees. But its 122-slope rating is a little deceivingly given how small many of the greens are. It still takes good shots to post a good number at Rancho Mirage.
There are also lighted tennis courts at the complex, allowing golfers to make a day & night of it, if they wish.

A bit less enjoyable than in the past.
The bunkers seem to lack sand. They were more like wet dirt. Perhaps Because of water restrictions, the fairways were a bit knarley with some areas without much grass. It's still a good value for the money since they now include lunch.
Rounding into peak season form.
Enjoyed the course. Not long but challenging, sometimes narrow fairways. Lots of Bunkers to avoid. Greens in good shape. The course was busy but we finished in just over 4 hrs. Will be back next week.
course was a dump
Course was terrible hardly any grass on the fairways.
Greens were very poor.
You can see no money or effort was put into maintenance.
Good Value, Less than Par fairways
Not a bad value at golfnow.com hotlist price. But the fairways were tight, brown! at high season. Greens were quite bumpy.
Good Value. Plays longer than yardage
Course was in decent shape considering it is the middle of winter and has been extremely cold. Fairways are pretty thin, but didn't bother me as much as my playing partner. Greens were good. Sand traps a little wet and firm. Course plays a little longer because of need to lay up on a few shorter holes due to water or dog legs. Good exprience overall.
Grea course- nice condition- great value
I played this course twice in three days while on Christmas vacation. Great course, nice layout, excellent value. I'll be back.
A cold, windy round!
The course is very good. But the wind made it very cold and the dust in the air was gritty!
frost delay
There was a frost delay and we were late getting on the course and could not finish our round
great value
Great round..very good conditions.
perfect day....
Love this course
Course in great condition. Friendly staff. Fairways and greens in good condition. We will be back often.
Very enjoyable course!
We played on Monday at 10am and finished in 3 1/2 hours. Course was challenging and seemed to play longer than the stated 6,100 yards. We enjoyed our lunch there very much. It was fast and very tasty. Very friendly staff. I would definitely return.
Great Family Day of Golf
Our son and grandson wanted to play golf the day before Christmas and we were fortunate to get a tee time at Rancho Mirage. They were very accommodating and understanding when my husband was unable to play because of an accident but wanted to ride along.
Thank you to all!
Meh...
Its an ok course... But when you have 130+ courses to choose from in the valley, you'd think that they'd at least get a marshall checking on the speed of play - which they didn't. I wasted at least 90 minutes waiting on a 5-some in front of me... This isn't rocket science, people... Will I go back?? Nope.
Poor Condition
Over the past 5 years the course condition has gone steadily down hill. This fairways are thin and in some areas bare, no sand in most bunkers, range often out of spots and balls. This is a pity because it's a very pleasant course with nice views and though short not as easy to score as it looks.
Good
Course is best in valley for money. But play can be slow at times
Golf happens
Nice course. Average greens. Very pretty views of the area.
overall golf evaluation
Grooming needs some attention.signage on course needs some work even though i played the course 3years ago i was unsure where to go.
Country Club Semi Private
This is a very nice community. The golf course was somewhat disappointing. Many areas of the fairways were thin. It seemed like that their overseeding didn't go as planned. Wasn't impressed with the range. We teed off at 10 am. There were no rakes in the first 5 holes.
average course
It was a very easy track . Pretty straight course and OK groom . Not my type of course .
Great Value in the Desert
Great round of golf. Course was in great shape with plenty of bunkers and water. Greens were fast and true. Price includes free range balls and a nice putting green. I will definitely play again.
