Rancho Mirage Country Club
About
This course sits at the intersection of two of the most famous roads in Palm Springs: Bob Hope Drive and Frank Sinatra Drive. Yet, it's one of the better kept secrets in the golf scene. Rancho Mirage Country Club in Ranch Mirage is a semi-private club available to outside play through stay & play packages so it does not do a lot of publicity.
There are 10 lakes, tons of palm trees and the snow-capped San Jacinto Mountains to catch your eyes. The course itself is largely flat and inviting for the average hacker. It measures only 6,111 yards from the back tees. But its 122-slope rating is a little deceivingly given how small many of the greens are. It still takes good shots to post a good number at Rancho Mirage.
There are also lighted tennis courts at the complex, allowing golfers to make a day & night of it, if they wish.

Nice course, friendly people.
The course was in great shape. The pace of play was excellent. The staff was very friendly. I actually played the course again the next day I enjoyed it so much
a terrific course for the money!
The course was in great shape. Played 18 holes in 2.5 hours. The course was not very long but very challenging to chip and putt well. One of the best rounds of golf I've ever had!!
Fun Course
Played as a single and tee'd off around 6:30am. Ended up playing all by myself for 9 holes before someone caught up to me. It was pretty awesome to be out there by myself on such a beautiful course. Very quiet, great views, etc. Had the game of my life until someone finally joined me haha. Some of the fairways are NARROW and the early morning glare on a few holes made it so that I could not see where my ball went whatsoever. Overall great course in great shape for an awesome price. Paid $52 with cart. I would definitely play again.
Sigh
I signed up as a single for a 7:15 a.m. tee time, through GolfNow.com.. I arrived at 6:50 a.m., checked in and asked about hitting a few balls, but the "ball attendant" wasn't due to show up until 7:00, so "no go".
Suggestion: If you are going to offer tee times starting at 7 a.m., then I would think you'd want to have the driving range open by 6:30 a.m., anyway, so that the golfers could warm up. After teeing off, we were constantly kept dodging heavy duty watering up and down the fairways. There were idle/standing water and soggy fairways on many holes. Additionally, the bunkers were inundated and had standing water, too. Suggestion: again, if you are going to offer 7:00 a.m. starting tee times, then the watering needs to be started early enough so as not to interfere with the earliest golfers. The overall effect of these course conditions makes for a round of golf in which you end up saying the course ought to be paying YOU to play there, not the other way around. What a shame that the ownership of the facility will not invest enough in man power to create a more enjoyable experience, as this could be a very nice in city track.
Great value for the money
Every time that I come to Palm Desert, I make time to play this course. It is always in great condition, the pace of play is superb. I find some holes challenging, but the majority of the holes are relative easy.
scenic and challenging
Course was beautiful and fairly challenging, wife loved it because had some room to make mistakes and still recover.
Great course
Great course, friendly staff. I will come back again.
Nice course... Good to play
This Iis a good course to play. It is in a great location and for summer golf it has nice shade trees. The course is in good shape for the summer season. It is challenging without being frustrating. The bunkers aren't great, but they are playable. Not too crowded later morning, so pace of play good then. It definitely is good value.
Quiet time
We chose a nice quiet afternoon time (few staff) and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves despite ho-hum level of service. The course still played nicely.
good value for money
We enjoyed playing the back nine far more than the front 9 which is quite tight. The bunkers have great sand but the greens were quite balding. Has some really pretty holes. Paid $25 and $5 for range balls (all you want to hit) The only thing I thought was poor was I had to purchase two drinks in order to get the standard little cooler that's attached to most golf carts. It's odd after driving through the swanky gates that they charge you for a mini cooler!
Nicetimetoplay
Happy to play with the course to ourselves - good conditions - some tightness off the tee - no cart service but who cares - nice traditional "feel" to this place.
some challeging holes
Nice course and started on time and were thru in 3hours and 40 minutes.
Value
Definetly value go the dollar. We have let
Other know of to hidden jewel.

Rancho Mirage Golf Course
Excellent course in great shape. Beautiful scenery and a somewhat challenging track. Totally enjoyed this course and it is one of my favorites in the Palm Springs area.
EXCELLENT VALUE FOR SPECIAL TTIME
NICE PLEASANT COURSE TO PLAY. NO GREAT CHALLENGES EXCEPT THE NARROW FAIRWAYS
Beautiful course this time of year.
We started at 6:45am, so it was cold, but not bad except for the sprinklers being on and no one there to turn them off so we ended up getting a little wet. That made the cold morning even colder.
Great Time
I had a 1:07 tee time coming from OC but ran into some heavy traffic in Riverside. I called the course and told them I was going to be a bit late, they told me not to worry that they would get My friend and I out when we arrived. When We arrived the starter got us out within ten minutes. After a quick head call it was to the first tee box. We had a very good time. Overall the course was in very good shape and challenging especially the greens. Will play again.
Great course, perfect condition
I was a little worried about playing this course as the other reviews talked about it being short. I found all the 4 and 5 par holes plenty long enough and had to use the driver where you would expect to use it. Greens were excellent condition and quick. Holes were challenging for all levels of golfers. Excellent experience and excellent value for money. What more do you need?
Very playable course
Great course for the money. Old style design but interesting.
