About
Originally designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., Apollo Beach Golf Club features large, well- bunkered greens and long tee boxes with generous fairways. The course is designed around many small lakes and inlets that dominate the landscape, bringing water into play on every hole. One trip around the layout and you will know that there are all sorts of unseen challenges awaiting golfers of all skill levels. The snack bar/restaurant offers home cooked breakfasts and lunches featuring specials daily.

Poorly taken care of
Course was rough, greens were terrible condition tee boxes weren’t much better there was weird like sand/ Rocky path in middle of fair way not sure what was going on
Need maintenance overhaul

Good course and cheap
Played with a couple older gents. They were fun, good pace and no issues. A few greens have some dry patches but for the price it’s a great place. A guy even brought my cart to my car! First time that’s happened in my 24 years of golf

Nice layout, conditions could be better.
A three star course for now. The greens were mostly in good condition and there were a number of good golf holes. I was expecting a little better, but I still had fun playing the course.

Improving conditions
Course is in fair shape, better than previous time I played.
Greens still recovering from aeration, somewhat slow and a bit bumpy, but not bad. Fringes have been expanded and are in good shape. Still some bare spots in fairways, particularly #7 and #9.

The course played good the greens a little bumpy but they have aerated them.

Strike Three
What a disappointment to find crappy greens at Apollo Beach! Repeatedly my putts took zigzag turns on the greens; and let’s face it, that course without good greens is a waste of time and money. Some of the problems were unrepaired ball marks, and some was very poor turf management. I know, it’s Covid19, but I’m comparing it to other courses, and their greens aren’t good.

Eval!
Nice course easy to play nice setting great for beginners. Has enough challenge for players that are Weekend Warriors or seasoned golfers as well

It was fun. Needs ton of work
Horribly maintained. Putting greens nonexistent. Red tees were on fairways in some holes. Short ball course which made it feel like I was a great golfer. Cart path is good. Greens look nice but are slow. Solid value for money. Golfed at noon and had the whole course to myself. Great course for beginners and mediocre golfers. I would recommend bring kid to play here!

Needs a little work
In general, this course needs a little TLC. The fairways need some new grass and upkeep. The greens are also inconsistent. I really like the layout and think it is a fun place to play if your golf skills are mediocre like mine.

Goat farm
Do not waste your money playing here. We had a 9am tee time and they barely had enough carts left to send us out in. Everything is terribly maintained and the greens are sanded and some of the slowest I’ve ever played. The maintenance crew left sprinklers attached in the middle of the day on one of the greens. There are power lines that overhang directly in the line of your drive on hole 3. There are a few holes that provide a view of the canals and nicer homes with beautiful boats but i would be disgusted to have to look at the garbage that is the Apollo Beach Golf Club. This course needs some TLC.

Don’t play here
waste of money. course was in terrible conditions. we played on a saturday, and they had a par 5 cut down to a par 3 for construction. on a saturday. the holes that we did play had patches of good grass, patches of sand and patches of dirt. the greens were similar conditions, horrendous bumps and bounces every way. very similar to The Claw which is condemned and falling apart. actual grass, smooth fairways and greens would make it better.

Not great shape
Fairways are thin, with lots of weeds and patchy grass. Not much difference between a fairway lie and the rough (also thin and patchy.) Greens are bumpy - appear to have been recently aerated.
