River Run Golf Links
About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

In nice shape
River Run is in our regular rotation of courses in the Bradenton area and is currently in great shape. We love the design of the course - nicely challenging for any level of play. Pace of play was especially good this last outing thanks to the starter and the tee time booking schedule.
We’ll look forward to playing there again soon.
Nice course
River Run is a decent course for the price. It has a fun layout and was in decent condition for January. My only knock would be that it is heavily played so our round took 5 hours. We had a rude group behind us yelling for us to get going when we waited on almost every shot.

enjoyed the course itself
Nice course with some interesting holes. Playing surfaces were rough and needed attention. Greens were dry and looked a little burnt but rolled true and fast. Enjoyable day for the most part.
Not too shabby
The course was good overall. Geens were fine and there were a few tee boxed that used some lovin but most were in real good shape.
The pace of play was slow with no ranger or player assistant to talk to. But for a muni and today's astronomical golf prices, it was well worth the price.
We need rain
I really like the improvements being made to this course, but rain is definitely needed. The greens are fairly fast from lack of rain, for sure. Still love playing here no
Good course
Everything was excellent but course player very very slow.
Carts
Place claims to not have enough carts to accommodate a single golfer. What’s that smell?
Very friendly staff that makes an ok course lovely
It is a course I would go play by myself in the afternoon just because I feel like to or want to focus my game by being alone. Nothing fancy, but generally in good enough shape. The starter was very friendly and we love it!
Bring extra balls
Nice course- good location near downtown Bradenton. Friendly staff- the water and narrow fairways make you pay attention
River Run Is A Fun Track
First, this place has the best staff of any course on the Suncoast. Just all nice, helpful people who make your day better. Greens were pretty true, with lots of rough pin locations. Don't be surprised to get a GIR or close, then end up with a bogey or even double. Conditions were very good. Seemed like every par 4 was 350ish, so not the most fascinating layout, but it was cool to play without houses all over the course. I'll be back for sure.
