About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

For a public course, the condition was mediocre at best. Upon arrival, there was no assistance with our clubs, which not a big deal for us but may be for others.
The pace of play was horrendous. Took two of us to play 18 holes, 4.5 hrs.
I definitely would not give this course a 4.0 rating.

Good Conditions, Great Value
Played early afternoon weekend round as a twosome. Were paired with a single. Finished in less than four hours. Friendly and accommodating staff (especially Doug in the clubhouse). Several greens had a few dead patches but overall conditions were acceptable. Recent changes to dry out the problematic wet areas in several fairways appear to be working. Can recommend this course and hope to play here again soon.

The snowbirds are gone, it's time to golf
What a pleasure was seeing the parking lot less full. It was perfect weather and the courses in great shape. Greens are a little bumpy from aeration and some dry patches, but other than that everything was great. I will be back, especially at these rates

Stop paying for courses that don't enforce pace of play... There is a reason it's cheap... 2 45 first 9...had to leave I was waiting 20 minutes between shots... And I was walking!

A lot of fun for the money
I mean come on the coarse was fun the people were great. We even had to rent clubs because we were visiting and the staff made our visit flawless. Would definitely recommend
