About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Decent Conditions In Spite Of Limited Rain
Course was in better than expected condition, despite recent weeks with almost no rain. Always friendly staff. Decent pace of play. Would recommend and look forward to returning soon.

Great Value
The course has a very fair layout for the average golfer. Greens rolled true. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I enjoy playing the course. You can book tee times 2 weeks in advance but tee times fill up quickly.

Rain & Rangers needed
I have played this course several times but usually just once a year when in the area. It is a good layout but it is suffering from the lack of rain. Greens, particularly, are not in the best of shape; the drought-induced growth leads to varying putting conditions including roll, speed and holding a line. The staff here is wonderful as always,
couldn't ask for a better group. we teed off at 9:30 and the pace was slow on the front nine, terrible on the back.
We quit after 14 holes, and 4-1/2 hours! Need Rangers to keep groups moving.

Nice Course For The Money
Have not played this course for a few weeks and found it to be suffering a bit from the recent dry and unseasonably warm weather. Fairway grass was sometimes hard to find and some greens (especially #17) not in as good condition as expected. Staff, as always, was very friendly and accommodating (especially Mark in the clubhouse). A few rainy days should address these issues. For the price this is a good value course.

Middle of the road course
The price was right, hence why we went there. The place is nothing to write home about. It was a Saturday so we didn't expect to fly through the place. The twosome we got to play with were pleasant so that always helps. It was definitely a guys local spot, and they were OK with us women/non residents to be there. The sand traps needed a lot of help and very few rakes were available through the course. Poor grass condition in the fairways but I guess the heat might have something to do w/ it. Overall, OK place for the price.

River Run A Nice Course
My wife and I played River Run at 8:15 in the morning. I pulled my drive and wifey cracked one down the middle past me. We were a twosome following a foursome. We waited but did not see the foresome behind us except pulling g up on Par 3s. Nice course, good condition, starter awesome. Definitely recommend.

Not Bad
First time playing the course. Tees and fairways were average but greens were in good shape for the most part.
Starter was not very personable. Not a bad course fir the price considering the course conditions.
River Run
Course is in mediocre condition . Practice putting green is terrible and there is no driving range. But you get what you pay for, and the fees are reasonable.
