About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Best Muni in Manatee County
This was my 4th time playing River Run this year. The course had taken a beating from Hurricane Ian, but the grounds crew has done a great job getting the course back in shape. The greens could stand a little more work, but the rest of the course was in better shape than the last time I played there.

Excellent muni
I’ve been playing this course for many years and I have never been disappointed with anything.The grounds have always been maintained well and the pace of play has always been good.I will continue to play here with a big smile on my face.
Keep it straight
Course in good condition, fairways are pretty good, and greens are in good shape. For the price you can't complain especially this time of year. Course is narrow on about 5 holes at least.

Great value
Great staff. Nice courses and fun layout. A little rushed early but with 2 foursomes at the hole ahead of us don’t know why we were told to pick up the pace. Was less crowded in the back 9.

Well run muni course
Plenty of traffic, but course Is well maintained. When a member of my party was late the starter sent me out on time. Then upon his arrival (hole 2) gave him a cart to meet me. Avoided collision with a big party behind us. Great management and much appreciated.

Staff worked us in after I was late for tee time. Course was in fairly decent condition. Greens moderately fast with many ball marks, as expected on a busy public course. Tees and fairway grass mostly good.
