About
River Run Golf Links is a municipal course owned by the city of Bradenton. Unlike many others in the area, golfers won't have to worry about hitting homes on this non-residential course. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels to enjoy but it's also a fair test that is anything but boring. The two nines are referred to as the River Nine, the front, and the Pirate nine. The golf course is mostly straightforward and a pleasure to walk, although there are carts available. Ancient oak trees draped with Spanish moss provide shade and scenery throughout the course. Water has a prominent presence, coming into play on almost every hole. Some of the holes are tight and can be quite challenging but beginners can still approach River Run Golf Links with confidence.

Course in great playing conditions
Course from tee to green in excellent shape. Sand traps could use some work but most courses I play have issues with sand traps. Staff were excellent. Pace of play is slow because in my opinion they over book. But for the price I understand why everyone wants to play here. I highly recommend River Run. I've been playing here since 1989 and it's in excellent condition.

The game before the storm
This course is fun! The conditions were perfect, but a little breezy. That did help my slice on some holes.

Only complaint. Greens slowww! Course in great condition
Good condition
Would like it if the semi rough to the edge of the fairways was cut a little shorter. We spent so much time looking for balls that have just run out of fairway. The people in front were also spending time looking. In the end you just have to drop another ball and play on.
Decent
Good challenge from back tee requires straight golf not always a driver from the T
