Some holes have extreme elevation changes
Par 3's that are all carry over water
Elevated fairways over wet lands
Undulating greens that will really make you choose your line correctly
Beautiful day on a fun course
Played Miller and Creek 9's. both were in very good shape from tee to green. Greens were nice and smooth. Mountain views are gorgeous this time of year.

Had only played once before - pre- covid.
Walked the Creek/Miller combo and was very impressed. First, I think I much prefer this combo over any combo involving the Olde course. Both nines are as challenging as you want , depending on your tee box choice. The course was in excellent condition all around and the pace of play was very good.

Golf
Course was in great condition. First nine play was very slow. Over 3 hours but second nine went very smooth. Would definitely play here again
The intangibles were great, the course not so much
Very accommodating and friendly staff, good lunch spot. The 2 nines I played (they have 3) were in decent condition considering the rain, and they weren't cart path only, apart from a couple of holes. The pace was fine but the course conditions were only average. This is an old style shorter course with quite small greens and spotty tee surfaces. The greens putted well and I enjoyed the round, however the location is not great as some holes are right along a commercial area of road that is not attractive.

First time, hope to return!
Had an appt at UVA so hit this on my way back. Its 3 courses of 9 holes each. They had me to do the olde and creek course and I fully enjoyed both. It is the summer time and the courses, all things considered was in very good shape. Pro shop folks very nice and very friendly. Hope I get a chance to return.
First Time - Loved It!
My first time here. Did the olde and creek courses. It is late August of a very hot summer and even my grass is showing the effects but this course all things being equal was in very good shape. Great staff, polite and very helpful and happy to see me. It was a great afternoon of play. Plus they came around with free ice cold bottled water!
Terrific Course
I highly recommend giving this course a try.

Exciting unique hole locations. Court conditions good. Good lunch after round.
Shenvalee for the day
Beautiful surroundings and 3 very different nine hole courses. The course conditions were better than we expected! We were amazed at how pristine the tee boxes were for this time of year. The greens were receptive and rolled very well. The layout of all three nines is not only a challenge, but also offers you the ability to score on this course. The only negative to our experience was not one water cooler/jug on the course not a beverage cart. For this time of the year and the climate, we considered that to be unacceptable for a “resort course”. Be prepared if you want to stay properly hydrated!
Always fun
Gotta love Shenvalee. Affordable, friendly and the greens are usually underrated. It’s in great shape right now and each of the 3 nines have their own feel. Don’t sleep on Olde still being changing with small greens despite the yardage on the scorecard!
