Prince William Golf Club

Prince William is a great course that can be played at great value. It is in tremendous shape. The greens roll true, and the staff is friendly.

However, it took us 40 minutes to play holes 1&2 because of pace of play. This is worse than normal, but it is still an ongoing issue.

I would be fine paying 4-6$ more for a round if it would eliminate the pace of play issue that we have dealt with the last few times.

Sunday, prior to Memorial Day....not sure if everyone was traveling or stayed home waiting for Monday, but the pace of play was outstanding....can only remember waiting on the tee box three times, each a short period. And no one nipping at our heels. That aside, the course was in excellent playing condition. Personnel from the starter, the pro shop attendant and the "beer girl" were all extremely friendly and courteous. Only suggestion is that they need better beer.....

With all of the great courses in this area Prince William cannot be rated as one of them. But if you're looking for a very playable course that's easy on the wallet and fairly easy to get on put this one on the list.

This is the kind of course that rewards good play without punishing you too badly on your off days. It's got some excellent par 3's, some holes that reward a well executed strategy and enough grip-it-and-rip-it type holes to enjoy those days when you're really hitting the driver well.

Playing yesterday, Saturday, we got around in 4 hours!

Course was in good condition. Staff was very pleasant.
Great Deal on GolfNow hot buy $29. Pace of play was not to good but understandable. Need a Marshall to push pace of play. 18 holes = 5 1/2 hrs.

Really enjoyed my round. Had some obnoxious people behind us being rude about our pace of play even though we were waiting on a group in front of us. Other than that, the course was in great shape and we had a good time.

Course is pretty nice . Staff was extremely friendly and courteous. Fairways are generous. Although the greens were still a little sandy from being aerated not too long ago, the slope in them was tricky and subtle. Enjoyed my round and will definitely play again later this summer.

I able to play without a reservation. I hit on the range with new golf balls. They have grass area but wasn't ready to use so you had to hit balls off mats with only 2 with rubber tees through wires. No ranger told me when to start or keep up my pace so I missed going off with my group which went off 10 minutes early. The course was in good condition. They cut down lots of tress and the greens were in surprising good condition. Despite no ranger the pace was good and I didn't feel rushed. Golf cart a little old and able to do the job. Great fun place for any golfer to play!

been there twice. good experiences both times.

pros: greens are great. good quality for money. staff is friendly. driving range is good. the views are nice. marshal let us start on back nine (were slower than some).

cons: been there twice. first time, beverage cart never cam around. on the last hole we had to wait a couple minutes because they were mowing the green.

I would recommend this green. I enjoyed it. I will be here a lot in the future.

I was looking for a fun course, with some challenging holes. Overall, PW played nicely

This is a good course for my 59 yo body. It is not too difficult and the staff is very friendly. I enjoy playing here.

The course condition is not bad and green speed is so so. Every hole is located hole by hole, so it is dangerous little bit and confused other play group.

Outside of Prince William residents, not many folks are familiar with this golf course. Its a nice well kept course which plays short, but still challenging. If you can find a golfnow deal, then this deal gets even sweeter. I enjoyed my time playing here and would play again.

I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the course. The changes and improvements are evident. The Staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative are the cart paths which are in serious need of repair or replacement. For the price this may the best deal in PW Co.

Be back for 20 bucks and a free beer any day of the week

First let me say staff was excellent. Friendly no matter who it was they asked if everything was ok. When I got there I messed up the tee time by an hour. I was late but the staff member said we can still fit you in and I only had to wait 10 minutes! This was very unexpected and appreciated. The course is very forgiving but the greens were hard to get a read on. For a busy Sunday pace moved pretty good.
I will play it again

Great course, the course marshal and the greens keepers have been busy improving the experience here at PWGC. It is one of the few driving ranges that you can hit on the grass vice a swing altering mat. Food was good, they had a grill out back for burgers and sausages, I still wish the county would add a proper 19th hole here! Pace of play was slow for us, of course it was ....it was Memorial Day! So this was not a dig on the course, the volume of people (and non-regular golfers slowed the front 9 to a crawl

The greens were perfect, the course was in good condition, it was very busy (as expected) though we were stuck behind a group that at times were taking 5 shots just to reach the fairway 30 yards from the tee !! maybe a little help from the Marshall. Had a burger which was very very rare (but no tummy trouble yet!!) . Staff were friendly and courteous. The only thing that really caught my eye on the negative side regarding the facilities were the bathrooms, I used the gents around 11:00am in the club house and they were really bad, and it looked like they had been neglected for quite some time (not just a missed bathroom check).

Except for the rough containing left over dead grass and being extremely thick this course was in great shape. The greens are tough but fair. Nice open fairways are forgiving.

Course was nice, great weather outside. Even though we were holding the people up behind us, he sent us to the back nine where we were by ourselves. Very peaceful! Food was good. BBQ wasn't ready when we got there but we were able to get some later when we were finished! Over all experience was 4/5 because not all employees acknowledged you when said hi (it happens) and secondly, we had to wait several times for the mowers to finish their routine! Besides that, staff was nice, courses were amateur friendly, and the the food was good and hot. I will definitely be back, and it's local!!!
