#7 Par 4 Dogleg Right Photo submitted by jmc1958 on 04/03/2015
Wait, wait wait
The course was OK. The pace of play was glacial. Unlikely I’d play this again due to no attempt to move slow players. This continues to be the #1 complaint about muni golf - S-L-O-W play.
My day at Whispering Pines
Very friendly staff. Good conditions for this time of year. Greens very fast. Many pretty holes with nice vistas. Fringe of greens soft and will trap the ball. Typical wooly grass not seen in northern play. Overall a very nice day.
A nice challenge
My husband and I played this course for the first time. It was challenging - a little long for me, and quite a bit of water. Still, we enjoyed our round.
Fun Round at WP
Didn’t play well, but still enjoyed playing WP…play it every time we are in MB.
airport
nice course helpful starter good shape except the bunkers need more sand and maintenance greens speedy but smooth
Get what you pay for....
Pace of play was ridiculous - backed up 20 minutes before scheduled tee time. Starter was rude, some of the greens had unplayable spots on them, tees need work, some bunkers were lakes -unplayable. Simply put - you get what you pay for, higher expectations in a golf resort area, but that is on me - I got exactly what I paid for...
Just average
Worked here in the 90s and must have played here hundreds of times. It’s better in some respects. Greens rolled quick and true. Wooded areas have been cleared out and fairways were in decent shape. Also liked the new restroom by #5, mush nicer than the dungeon they had behind #8 tee. Cons are that the green sizes have shrunk considerably, no doubt to cut costs. Greens were quite firm too. Tee boxes have seen better days too. The hole on #2 was cut significantly larger than the cup. Not the best course in MB but a decent value.
