Great experience.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The course was in good condition and the greens were challenging. Had a great time.
It’s a fun and challenging course
My brother and I came to play and the staff could not have been nicer! The course was more challenging (in a good way) than I expected from a public course. Will definitely be coming back
Course Closed
Course was closed due to weather. Don’t I get a refund?
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at the course. Sounds like you prepaid for a Hot Deal on GolfNow. When this is the case, no money is paid to the pro-shop so there is no money that is owed back from the course. You may have booked other course times through GolfNow and that is why you were able to obtain a raincheck. If you call GolfNow, they would be happy to rectify the situation. We hope this clears any confusion up and we hope you give us another try in the future.
Nice course for the money
No real driving range to practice but people were nice and I had a good time. Will probably walk the course next time to save money. That wasn’t offered on the app so I will not use this app next time I play there.
Course and greens in great shape. They keep it good shape all the time though. Only set back(if you want to call it one) was the leaves in the fairways. But that's fall golf in VA. They had a guy blowing the fairways off. But it was a losing battle. 5 stars all day long.
Best Value
This is the best $30 round of golf in the area. Greens are in good shape, fairways and tee box’s are decent. It’s not as nice as Cyprus point but it’s also $25 less to play. It beats all the other courses in the area in this price range.
The only negative is the pace of play. They really need to speed people up. It took us 7 hours for one round of golf. That’s just ridiculous.
Course is in good shape!
I have played OVGC for over 40 years. The course is currently in good condition but the greens putted a little slower than usual today. The 20-25 mph winds today coming off of the bay toughened up some of the tighter fairways. The staff is always friendly and there is a daily blitz that goes off around 1pm.
Oceanview
The fairways are a little narrow, but that is the only thing negative I could say about the course.. pace of play was good just waited a little bit of time around the par three’s.
