Beautiful Ocean-side course with Friendly Staff
The course has a moderately challenging layout with the scenic Atlantic ocean nearly in sight.
The extraordinarily friendly front desk staff added to joy of playing golf in a perfect weather with two great playmates whom I met in the course.
Nice old school course
The course is very mature with big old trees and water but the greens had been air raided and sanded and were very bumpy. The fairways were also in rough shape from lack of rain but the lay out itself is great.
Bad shape, but good customer service
This course is in rough shape. Tee boxes were mostly dirt, fairways are alright, but the greens were all sand from recent aerating and re-work. Honest opinion it isn’t worth the $30 to play. Very frustrating.

Best public course to play for the money in Virginia Beach!
Rough Condition
For starters the course crammed all the people they could on to the tee sheet. No separation or space between groups. The tee boxes we mostly comprised of sand and the greens were rough as well. For the money it wasn't terrible as far as course conditions go but the pace of play was absolutely ridiculous. I would never come to this course unless you have an entire day to waste on a subpar course.

Nice course
First time playing this course and enjoyed the experience.Staff at the pro shop were friendly and helpful.The course itself is in good condition with the greens in very good shape after aeration.Tee boxes need a bit of attention but not too bad.The fairways are wide and not all the par fours need a driver off the tee.
The main gripe I would have is that there is not any yardage markers on the fairways and it would be nice if there was red white and blue stakes or markings to give you distance to the greens.Not everyone has a range finder.
Pace of play was great for a Tuesday afternoon and was finished in under 3 hours.
Would recommend this place to anyone in the area .
Poor conditions
Tee boxes are mainly sand and all of the greens were very bumpy.Course layout is ok with a few shot par fours.The course was very dry and some strange bounces and runouts even when you hit the fairways
Staff was friendly and the pace of play was good as we finished in just over 4 hours.
Don’t know where they got the name Ocean View because there are no views of the ocean anywhere on the golf course.
If you are in the area give this place a look but I wouldn’t want to travel too far to play there

Course needs maintenance
The layout is ok, but the greens and fairways are awful ..no grass in the fairways and the greens is just as bad.. 1st time playing this course and I was very disappointed..the staff is very friendly and nice.

Fun first round
This was our first round of the year and we enjoyed the course, good value for the price. There had been extensive rain and flooding in the area, so cart path only. Staff did a great job cleaning up the course, there were large puddles we had to play around. We would go back again,
Top 3 courses in all of hampton roads!
I personally love this course! From someone who plays about four times a week, As far as conditions go it is one of the most maintained golf courses in the entire area. The course layout is fun, relatively simple, but there are some cool holes and every one of them is in the same shape as the last hole (well groomed/maintained). The course is pretty short. The staff are always friendly and their Clubhouse serves cold beer and hot food with hardly any wait time. I wish that they're putting green had less Decay on it and that there was a driving range but other than that it remains one of my most favorite courses in the area! 10 out of 10 would recommend.
