Not what we expected
Course conditions were not what we had experienced in the past.
In particular the greens.

Overbooked!
No real starter. Completely overbooked. Had a tee time for 1203 and the 1154 group said we could go first. Get to the first tee and it's 4 groups still waiting to tee off with a 5some in front of us. Didn't get off the course until 545. Waited 10 to 15 mins EACH shot. If you play here know that your tee time doesn't mean squat.. I'll never play here again. Longest round of my life at 5200 yrd par 70. Unbelievable

Greens are horrendously in bad shape. Very bumpy! Dry areas. Sand trap bad shape too!

Aeration nightmare
It would have been nice to know when booking that the greens and fairways had been aerated. there are plenty of courses in the area that you can maneuver around when courses are aerating.

Beautiful Ocean-side course with Friendly Staff
The course has a moderately challenging layout with the scenic Atlantic ocean nearly in sight.
The extraordinarily friendly front desk staff added to joy of playing golf in a perfect weather with two great playmates whom I met in the course.
Nice old school course
The course is very mature with big old trees and water but the greens had been air raided and sanded and were very bumpy. The fairways were also in rough shape from lack of rain but the lay out itself is great.

Bad shape, but good customer service
This course is in rough shape. Tee boxes were mostly dirt, fairways are alright, but the greens were all sand from recent aerating and re-work. Honest opinion it isn’t worth the $30 to play. Very frustrating.

Best public course to play for the money in Virginia Beach!
Rough Condition
For starters the course crammed all the people they could on to the tee sheet. No separation or space between groups. The tee boxes we mostly comprised of sand and the greens were rough as well. For the money it wasn't terrible as far as course conditions go but the pace of play was absolutely ridiculous. I would never come to this course unless you have an entire day to waste on a subpar course.

Nice course
First time playing this course and enjoyed the experience.Staff at the pro shop were friendly and helpful.The course itself is in good condition with the greens in very good shape after aeration.Tee boxes need a bit of attention but not too bad.The fairways are wide and not all the par fours need a driver off the tee.
The main gripe I would have is that there is not any yardage markers on the fairways and it would be nice if there was red white and blue stakes or markings to give you distance to the greens.Not everyone has a range finder.
Pace of play was great for a Tuesday afternoon and was finished in under 3 hours.
Would recommend this place to anyone in the area .
