Dirt Lot Avoid
The course is in horrible condition. All dead grass on every fairway and many places where it's just hard pan dirt. I will not play here again.

Pavement
Would have been better to golf in the street. Tee boxes are bunkers and every bunker hasn’t been raked in a decade. Should be $5 max to play here.

8th IGood value
Considering it is early February the course was in pretty good shape. The fairways are thin and work needs to be done to get them into better playing condition. The greens are very good and carry good speed. The tees are a little rough but they are being worked on. The sand bunkers (those with sand) are generally in good playing condition and progress is being made to bring them all into conformance. Overall, satisfied with the experience.

Great condition for winter golf
While most other muni courses in the area are struggling with greens management Ocean View GC has managed to keep the greens in excellent condition at this time in February. They had a crew out working hard to control weeds and general grounds keeping.
Pace of play was a little slow since it was a balmy 72 degrees in Va Beach. A little over 4 hours to complete 18 with cart.
I have played this course about a dozen times and the course layout is nice. Only a few holes have houses to be concerned with. A few tight lies, but overall a pretty forgiving course.
I'll definitely be back again.

Great Round
Barring the 51 degree 15 mph winds Ocean View Golf Course proved to be just what the doctor ordered, a great round of golf. The greens were in great shape although the edges around the cups were in need of a little attention.
You'll also enjoy some of the homemade soups offered in the restaurant.
Decent course for the cost.
Greens are in great shape and have decent speed. Bunkers are in poor condition, and fairways are average. Tee boxes have seen a lot of play and could use some work.
The course is worth playing for the price point.
