About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Worth it
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Course is interesting and sometimes challanging.
Pace was good till we caught up to the ladies foursome that teed off 1/2 hour before us
my new home course
enjoyed the course thoroughly! the bunkers need some work though, fluffy sand would be alot better. staff was great and the cold water during these dog days of july were greatly appreciated! Now that i’m a local, i look forward to playing here often and bringing family and friends!!

Nice “country” golf course with an interesting layout. Staff could not have been nicer. Greens were slow but the heat index had been quite high for 7-10 days prior with a significant amount of late afternoon thunderstorms and rain.
I would play it again when weather and termperatures improve.
Awesome
I thought this place was awesome the only bad thing is the bugs so make sure you bring bug spray!! Other then that absolutely awesome course and will be back for sure!

Great inexpensive course
The course itself is a great layout with some decent challenge to the holes. The clubhouse however is a different story. Seemingly unkempt, foul smell, dirty restrooms (seriously), but plenty of potential. It is seemingly an older course and clubhouse that just needs some upkeep. Staff is friendly and food and drinks are good (and inexpensive also, recommend the chili dog special)
Disappointing
I can't recommend this place. It started with the staff inside the clubhouse seemingly very disinterested in pretty much everything. Though the layout of the course is quite challenging and fun, it is very poorly maintained. And the gas powered carts were a bit rough. The course has a lot of potential, but it will need a LOT of work to reach that potential..
