About
The 18-hole Diamondback Golf Course (previously known as Diamond Back at Woodland Valley Country Club) in Loris, SC is a Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda golf course that opened in 1999. Diamondback Golf Course was designed by Russell Breeden. The greens are Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda and the fairways are bermuda.
This modern Russell Breeden design is surrounded by unspoiled natural wetlands and lowcountry forest. Diamondback Golf Course is the first course on the Grand Strand to offer Sunday Ultra Dwarf Bermuda greens. Strategically placed bunkers and lakes allow for a challenging round of golf that will make you return year after year

Vacation Golf
Staff was very nice and was very eager to help out and allowed us time to hit range balls before the round. We paired up with a local member who was more than patient with our play
Nice staff, Challenging course worth another visit
I played Diamond Back as a single. I was super lucky to get paired up with a couple of members who were awesome. The greens were in really nice shape. The course had it's share of tough holes but if you play the directional markers you should see the next shot ( as a 1st timer) Clubhouse and staff were all very nice. I would definitely play again. Patrick, who manages was a surprise as I remember him from Black Bear and he is really nice and keeps things running well.
Wait
I booked a tee time they had a ladies tournament going on made me wait 20 minutes after my tee time because they can't manage their golf now account and I had pay the price other than that tight course needs some work on several tee boxes
Hot in Loris
Good value. Course was challenging. Staff was friendly. Man it was hot. Went off early (0800) and we were hot from the start. It is SC in July, so it was expected. I would recommend the course. Make sure you have plenty of balls, and maybe a ball retriever.
Nice Golf Experience
Really enjoyed my round. Course was in great shape. Very challenging track. Lots of narrow fairways and wster hazards. You will use every club in your bag. Hope to play again soon.
I really like diamondback. The only downside to this round was that they had just aerated the greens so they were pretty impossible. Other than that the course is always in very nice condition.
Late minute pick up
My golf partner had to do some work down in Myrtle Beach. So we decided to play a round after he finished. After looking around at a few courses, we choose to go back to Diamond Back. Great pick.
Great day
Great condition of course and great value. Weather was great with a little wind. Fast and true greens that excepted your approach shots.

No gators
There were plenty of hazards, but no gators. Course was in excellent condition. It was very tight with lots of water hazards. I'm a hack, but I went through at least 15 balls
Great shape!
The course was in great condition. Fairways and greens were great! Take some bug spray with you , the bugs weren’t terrible just a little annoying. Great place to play!
Great Day to Play
Course was in great shape, weather was perfect, staff is friendly, glad to be there.
A hidden gem
Although it’s a 20 minute drive from north Myrtle Beach, it’s well worth the time. Course is in good condition and staff was very helpful. Pricing is excellent and I’m glad to recommend playing this course.
Mowing
Fairways very well maintained. Greens looked great! Pace of play about 4 hours for 18 .Carts in great shape Great day!!!
