great day with friends
This course give you a choice of course management. The Greens were excellent, very smooth and the balled rolled true.. the course was very dry compared to the condition of some other courses.
A course that is well worth the money..
Great value.
Fun layout. Course was busy, staff did a great job of handling it. Would play this course again. Fun, challenging course. Greens rolled nice for January.
Good course
This was the first time my husband and I played this course. after heavy rain on Thursday, we expected cart path only and some wet spots. This was the case. However the play was not bad and the course has a beautiful layout. There is a lot of water. We did enjoy ourselves and want to come back when the weather is nicer. Staff was very friendly.
Good Value
This course is in good shape and the staff are fantastic. The course was wet from long term rain and club cleaners on the cart would have been a big improvement.
Great value
Great layout, great value. Challenging but enjoyable.
Nice course
Played this course today was pretty good course for price. Would recommend for average golfers
Worth the drive
Traveled a ways to this course but roads are good. Check in went easy and staff are very friendly. Included range balls were a nice plus. Course is in very good condition and the layout is great. Some holes were a little tough for my level so we moved to the red tee to save a few balls. Overall it was a pleasure to play.
Pleasant Surprise
Enjoyed our round. Course was in pretty good condition considering recent weather. A good alternative to some of the overpriced low end MB courses. Free range balls were appreciated since we had not played for a few weeks.
Slow, Slow, Slow!!!!
The course was good for the price, however we played on a Saturday afternoon and the pace of play was the worst I've seen in years! We waited at every hole and then when we got to 12, it got even worse. At 15 we gave up when there were 4 groups at the same hole. One group on the green, one in the fairway, one waiting on the tee box and our group waiting behind them. As we drove ahead to go home, holes 16 and 17 also had multiple groups backed up. Even at the low rate we paid, it was still too much for this type of frustration.
Worth the money.
Greens very good
Staff was quite nice
Great value
I played this course a couple years ago and it was a great layout but was basically a cow pasture. I heard it was bought out and was better. Well I was surprised how much work had been done . The course was in very good shape. It was wet from the hurricane but they have Domenic wonders with the maintenancee. The tee boxes were in great shape, the greens rolled true although a little slow for my liking.kudos to the new American owners. Well done!!!
Enjoyed It Very Much
The course was fun to play. Very challenging track. You will use every club in your bag. Staff was great from check-in to the snack bar. Look forward to playing it again. Lady friendly too! My wife loved to extra tees on some of the longer holes.
Winter kill made course suffer
I've played this course about 10 years or so and it was a fun experience. This time however was different. The greens were suffering with winter kill from last year's really bad ice South Carolina had. It's a shame too because this course is a gem otherwise
Patrick in the clubhouse was very good to me. I forgot my wallet with my money. Patrick allowed me to play and was very accommodating with a breakfast sandwich as well! Thank you Patrick, it wouldn't have been a good day without breakfast! When the course is fixed I'll be back. As I'm sure most people will.
Great value for a hot deal
Front 9 greens were in rough shape, back 9 was great. All courses in the area have had some sort of green damage this year, so I give it a pass. Long par 5s and decently long par 4s, emphasis on tee shot placement. As far as we could see there was only 1 staff member to check people in, bartend, and run cart duty. That poor guy had his hands full. A bit off the beaten path for myrtle beach area but worth the drive, especially on a hot deal grab.
Pleasant Round of Golf
Diamondback Golf Course has a very nice layout and challenging for all types of golfers. We played in mid-May & the fairways were excellent, greens ran true, some were sketchy but very playable. Water seemed to be in the mix on every hole. It is a bit off the beaten path but worth the play, especially if you can get “Hot deals” via Golfnow.
