Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.

This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.

Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.

Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.

"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

Had a great last minute rate. Staff was very accommodating. Fairways were pretty nice greens slower than they looked. Bunkers wastelands enter at your own risk, overall fun. I personally would not pay $100 which is what the course asks i believe. Well worth the golfnow deal however.

Great Course Pace of Play not so much

This was my second time playing this course. The course is in excellent shape considering the Vegas heat. The pace of play was horrible we were waiting on every tee box sometimes with two groups on the tee at the same time. The ranger said he spoke to the group ahead that was slowing things down but it never sped up. Will definitely play this course again.

This course was beautiful. From the staff to the fairway, greens and even rough all around awesome course. It was hot for sure but grounds were watered, cool cloths and some shade helped make this enjoyable. Will for sure play again. I even made it a point to compliment the greens keeper I saw in how well they kept the course. Wow!

Played this course in the early morning. Had a great time playing this course. Was teamed up with/against a course regular, who was an awesome person and helped me out with the course. Greens were a bit beat up, but that’s just golfers not fixing their divots. Overall great course and would definitely play this course again.
