About
Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.
This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.
Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.
Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.
"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

Course Layout was fantastic!
Challenging course in great shape right now and really nice community and clubhouse. Pace of play a bit slow but very organized.

Golfed with the kid
The course was in immaculate shape. Perfect weather a little breezy best way to work on my stinger shot paired up on the back nine with the young Leo DiCaprio look-alike..Collin excellent golfer..will be back ASAP

Pace of play
Start time was 11:17 AM - we were told at 11:10 AM that pace was 8 mins behind.
We finished the front 9 in 3 hours as the course was overbooked. We waited a while at Each hole and decided to call it a day at the turn.

Excellent in Vegas
Great course, layout, #1 starter team in vegas, Extremely professional, friendly. Private courses, great to access from golf now. Also, #2, #10 holes were renovated, no worries to the long drivers now.

Sunday morning golf
Course staff were all friendly and welcoming. The course was in great shape and the layout presents a challenge without being to difficult. Greens and fairways are in Great shape.

Changes
They’ve changed the second and tenth holes, eliminating the desert crossings, but their Cart GPS doesn’t show it, no signs, and the least you could expect is either the starter or the guys in the clubhouse let you know about it! Not one person said a thing, kind of disappointed about that too! Don’t know when I’ll be back after that goat rodeo! Very disappointed, ESPECIALLY for a place you’re paying 90 bucks a round as a local! You would think they might treat you better, but…

Beautiful course
The course is in great condition. There is a good mix of straight forward holes and more challenging holes. A good mix of sand, desert, and water obstacles. It's a challenging course, but not extremely difficult. The staff is super friendly. Great views on several holes. Lots of drinking water at various holes in regular appearances by beverage cart. I highly recommend this course.

Relaxing Time
This was my first time golfing Siena. The course was in very good condition. The grass was soft, and fairways we're very true. A little slow for my liking, but no dead spots. I wouldn't say the course is difficult, but its not municipal course easy. It would be a fun challenge for a beginner, and a fun leisure for a more experienced golfer. The pace of play was just so/so. It was moving very well, then slowed down a lot after a par 3. The saving grace here was the thunder storm that came in. Wind went from 0 to 30+ with rain for about 2 holes. I think some people called it quits especially since we already on hole 14 when it started. After 2 holes of bad weather, the wind died a lot and there was no more waiting.
For my rating on the course layout, its a very fun layout. Its not a grab a driver on all par 4s kind of course. They have some you need to lay up on because of desert hazards, and some shorter holes guarded by bunkers. The only issue I have on this is the GPS aren't updated to some of the new grass. On one of the holes, the GPS showed about 225 yards from the tee box to a desert hazard, about 60 yards of desert, then the green. After laying up the ball with a 4 iron, I got to my ball only to discover that they had removed the desert hazard and put in grass. A couple holes later, the GPS showed another desert hazard breaking up the fairway. I wasn't sure if the hazard was there or not. I ended up in the desert hazard (but to be fair, my intention was to lay-up). So the course isn't too difficult, but does take some planning and thinking on each hole.
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Siena. If I didn't have a goal to play and review every public course in Vegas, I would go play again soon.
