Siena Golf Course

This was my first time golfing Siena. The course was in very good condition. The grass was soft, and fairways we're very true. A little slow for my liking, but no dead spots. I wouldn't say the course is difficult, but its not municipal course easy. It would be a fun challenge for a beginner, and a fun leisure for a more experienced golfer. The pace of play was just so/so. It was moving very well, then slowed down a lot after a par 3. The saving grace here was the thunder storm that came in. Wind went from 0 to 30+ with rain for about 2 holes. I think some people called it quits especially since we already on hole 14 when it started. After 2 holes of bad weather, the wind died a lot and there was no more waiting.

For my rating on the course layout, its a very fun layout. Its not a grab a driver on all par 4s kind of course. They have some you need to lay up on because of desert hazards, and some shorter holes guarded by bunkers. The only issue I have on this is the GPS aren't updated to some of the new grass. On one of the holes, the GPS showed about 225 yards from the tee box to a desert hazard, about 60 yards of desert, then the green. After laying up the ball with a 4 iron, I got to my ball only to discover that they had removed the desert hazard and put in grass. A couple holes later, the GPS showed another desert hazard breaking up the fairway. I wasn't sure if the hazard was there or not. I ended up in the desert hazard (but to be fair, my intention was to lay-up). So the course isn't too difficult, but does take some planning and thinking on each hole.

Overall, I enjoyed my time at Siena. If I didn't have a goal to play and review every public course in Vegas, I would go play again soon.

I snuck away from my conference a few hours early to get in 18 holes. This is one of the lesser expensive courses in the area, but it was still quite nice. The gentlemen in the clubhouse were extremely helpful and made me feel welcome. The starter was very nice and saw that I was patiently ready to go so he bumped up my tee time. I was paired up with a twosome and they were fun to golf with.

There were some areas on the course that I couldn't tell if they were just under construction or if they were intentionally placed waste areas. Other than that, most of the course was in very good condition. The greens rolled true.

My only complaint is that it was 90 degrees out and two of the water jugs around the course were bone dry. We only saw the drink cart twice during the 4 hour round, and she was out of water bottles. I let her know the water jugs were empty but nothing was done about it.

Overall I enjoyed the round and I would play there again if/when I'm in Vegas again.

Do you enjoy a 5 hour round of golf? Who does! But this is what I got when I played. I would have said something to a ranger but their were none. Beautiful course in good condition but pace of play will prevent me from playing there again.

Nice course. Got a hot deal for $150 and it was worth it. Pace of play was good overall after a slow start. Friendly staff. Nice layout. Not too challenging which makes it fun for the average golfer. Would play again.

5+ hour round, after 3 hours for 9 holes called Pro Shop and advised a 5 some was really holding up play (we had 4 groups waiting)… Pro shop said they don’t allow 5 somes, i said well you have one. He said thanks. NOTHING done, our round took 5 hours 15 minutes. Loved the course, but this was unacceptable. I would change Pace of Play to NO stars… never saw a Marshall on a busy Sunday.

The course was in very good condition, and very well-maintained. The design is challenging with a wide variety of distance. Would have appreciated a cart with refreshments..

When we arrived for our 1:44 pm tee time we were instructed that the coarse had no carts. They said they would take our bags to the practice area and once a cart became available they would bring it to us. At 2:05 pm we finally received our carts and were instructed to check with the staff after 9 holes to see if our cart would make it. All the greens were in poor condition with sand on them and the t boxes needed work. Disappointed especially with the price they are advertising

I don't know why this course always has tee times open when I check the day before I want to play. These greens are some of my favorite in Vegas. Course is not difficult, but it's still a fun track. Always good to play at Siena.

Mostly for private member course, range is great, no matt, Layout is ok even some holes are under renovation. Bag drop and parking is very convenient. Friendly, welcoming bag boys and starters are easy, flexible. Only disappointing is pro shop check in staffs. Recently played 10 times more, every 2 + times a week, as a guest or self booking via golf now. Unfriendly and, not communicated with Golf now, cancelled and modified via Golf now in the same way of booking, they did not have updated info, and request, penalty or showed unmannered response. Had to show my updated booking with cell, GN app. Scheduled on the tournament in next week, w/o that event, i would not be coming back. Being Being Unwelcomed at the check in proshop, makes me feel bad for enjoyable round. Wont be back

The cours has a nice layout and fair conditions. Too bad they allow slow play. Waited on every tee box for several minutes. Frustrating and bad for the game.
