About
Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.
This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.
Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.
Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.
"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

Nice but tough
Played here today with three great guys that worked at the course, Mark, Bill and Sam. What a great course a must play when in Vegas. A must play to fly to Vegas to play. Thanks guys for a great time.
Very, very, very slow
This is the second time playing Siena. In both rounds were well over 5 hours.

if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen
Course was in excellent shape. Staff were fantastic. I took an early tee time as the temp that day was to get to 115 degrees. Myself and another player went out. The course was wide open. We finished in under 4 hours and we even took our time .We got out of there before the heat got turned up.

Nr. Slice
Pro shop guy yelled at me for no collar??? Mock Nike shirt - I explained this. He didn't care, gave me a warning and said next is a no go. Starter was also angry and I'm not sure why.? Course was empty and 12:30ish time frame. It was hot but nobody was nice. Out of town visitor but I don't think they wanted me on the course. I was a single and Black.... I don't want to go down that road, BUT!!!!!?????

Need more active marshalling
My overall rating driven mostly by pace of play.
Pros: Nice course. They teamed us up with another twosome. Good guys.
Cons: We had a 9:30 tee time but didn't tee off until shortly after 10:00. Because we started late and was VERY slow pace, we had to quit after #15 to get to the airport. Driving back to the clubhouse we passed two foursomes playing #16 (we had been waiting on the ones in front of us all day) but #17 & #18 were COMPLETELY open. A little more aggressive marshalling would have kept us all moving at a better pace.

Another great round
Siena is one of my regular tracks in Las Vegas. I play here often. The staff is friendly, the course is always in great shape and the pace of play is always good.

Terrible Golf Carts
My first cart died on the 8th hole. The second cart was at half speed for the remainder of the round.

Nice track!
Tee’d off at 0620. Two and a half hour round. Loved the layout and the greens were perfect. The only criticism that I could add would perhaps be a little more sand in the bunkers. I enjoyed it so much that I went around again!

Great course - Great Staff
Plus for nice course, friendly staff. Sneaky hard course. Can be easy on a good day but also beat you up if you play bad. Don’t make mistakes off the tee. Free grass range balls. Putting green (no chipping).

Started early before the forecasted 96 degrees today. Course is in great shape, and the greens were rolling true. Played with a first timer there who'd just purchased a membership. Be back soon!

I love this place...
Just a little slice of heaven on earth. Quaint, well manicured, challenging yet fair...just an all around great experience. Very well maintained golf course with a unique and interesting layout. Very friendly staff as well. Highly recommended. Great for nature lovers too... incredible variety of wildlife...birds and cute rabbits everywhere!
