Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.
This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.
Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.
Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.
"I don't think you'll come away impressed with this course," marketing director Mick Toscano said. "I think you'll come away awestruck."

Worst Greens Ever played
The Greens were basically dead. Some dollar size holes on green. Some area think of patches of grass on packed Sand. I feel like they just took money out of my
Wallet. Pace was very slow the first Nine, but give the staff some credit on resolving that a bit on back nine which played close to proper pace.
Should have a warming about greens. Let this review help others. Call first.

Pace of play was slow. Fairways were over saturated, I played the hybrid course and it was very challenging.

Hot but Fun
Temp was warm but course was fun. Greens in great shape and some fairways are recovering with overseed. Would play here again.

Great layout & conditions.
I really like the design of this course, fair test and some scenic holes with the red rock mountains that change in color depending on time of day. Course is in good shape and well maintained. Some bunkers not ideal and sand depth varies but there should be some penalty for errant shots. Overall, course is great, staff is friendly and we had very enjoyable round at Sienna. We will return often.

Greens were in great shape. This course is notorious for all the sand traps but if you miss a fairway you may prefer a bunker rather than playing out of the rough.
The rough was lush, green and DEEP!
The starter and beverage cart person were both friendly. Kudos for having drinking water on the course at various tee boxes.

Nice course
The staff was extremely friendly. The starter went out of his way to look for me to get with a two-some which we’re going to tee off soon. It worked out great because I got on earlier and I got grouped with two singles rather than going off on my own since My tee time was just me.
The course was well kept and very green and the roughs made it a little challenging. The greens rolled nicely.
I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was only $7. What a deal!!!
This was my first time playing here and I really enjoyed it. I only lost two balls, so not a bad day I had 10 pars and two blow up holes. No birdies. Course knowledge would have helped. The other two players had not played here either.
I’ll likely play here again. I’m from California so I’ll pick this as one of my favorites.

Nice but tough
Played here today with three great guys that worked at the course, Mark, Bill and Sam. What a great course a must play when in Vegas. A must play to fly to Vegas to play. Thanks guys for a great time.

Very, very, very slow
This is the second time playing Siena. In both rounds were well over 5 hours.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen
Course was in excellent shape. Staff were fantastic. I took an early tee time as the temp that day was to get to 115 degrees. Myself and another player went out. The course was wide open. We finished in under 4 hours and we even took our time .We got out of there before the heat got turned up.
