Gripping it and ripping it may be in vogue, but course architect team Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt are not going to let that be the extend of your strategy at Siena Golf Club.

This Las Vegas course is about shot-making more than bombing away. Siena's 97 pot bunkers are arranged to force frequent strategic decisions. Sometimes discretion is the better part of scorecard valor at Siena.

Hooking the ball every which way is paid for dearly at Siena. It's best to go with the clubs you can hit reasonably straight and give up a little distance.

Views of the surrounding mountains are complemented by six different water bodies, including Lake Siena. You'll be strategizing in some striking scenery.

Better days ahead

Good course, greens were in good shape but tested us. Lots of bunkers but luckily I wasn’t in many! The main negatives were all the geese and their poop (my wife and I both hit geese’s on the same hole), and they aerated the fairways and rough recently. Pace of play was poor (5 hr round). We’ll be back, though, just picked the wrong day to be here.

This course is really fun to play

I really like the course. The staff are really great both bag drop, pro shop, & restaurant. Definitely not a course for just long hitters, ball placement is really important to put you on an ideal next shot/s, or else u will be in trouble or even lose your ball. Beautiful lay out & condition for winter play is not bad at all. Will definitely play this course again on my next Cegas vacation.

Very Poor Course Conditions

We paid $119 to play a course that is in extremely poor conditions. Most tee boxes do not have grass. Many, many brown out or dry patches of grass (if you can even call it grass). The bunkers have very little sand -- you are hitting off pavement. The greens were un decent shape and that was the only positive thing I could write. I DO NOT recommend you pay the $119 to play on a goat ranch.

My only gripe is that it took five hours to play tournament in front without Marshall’s. Dumb dumb stupid. Keep pace of play going for the ones behind the tournament

No sand?

Bunkers were devoid of sand. Bunnies abound though. Nice track. Excellent greens and fairways. Really appreciated the Starter. Nice man who gave us a yardage book. Play it.

Beautiful scenery

What a beautiful course with lots of character. Fast play great layout. Challenging course but lots of fun. Beautiful scenery every where you look. Greens where fast lots of rabbits and geese so lots of poop everywhere so that would be the only negative
