FLOODED
Course was flooded on the front nine. Sign in the pro shop window that said “please tee off on hole 10 today. Thanks, management”
Happens occasionally, maybe they had a large outing or something earlier where they needed to shuffle around the layout, ok. When I went in to the pro shop, there was no one in the shop after walking around looking for someone. Teed off on 10 as the sign suggested. Finished the first 9 and went to make the turn onto the first hole. Teed off and hit my second shot over what I thought would be some standing water, go to drive towards my ball and the place to cross is completely flooded. No Marshall in sight, no one to stop us from making the turn so we cut our loses on the ball that was now unretreievable and jumped to the next hole. Went to head towards the second tee box and access to the second tee box is also flooded. 3rd hole was fine and as you approach the 4th tee box, you guessed it, flooded again. No way to reach the 5th hole and on as the course layout does not allow you to continue on. Frustrating to pay for 18 and really only get 9 in.

We ran out of daylight due to so many players ahead of us. Only got in 13 holes.

Rainy, Worth the Drive
Loved the course, can't wait to come back on a sunny day. Cold and wet. Food in the restaurant was good and the fireplaced warmed us up.

Beautiful Day on the Course
Such a great experience. Course was in good shape, pace of play was 4:20, not bad for a busy winter day. Can't wait to get back out there.

Back nine better than Front
Front nine was ho hum but got better on the back. Greens are very rough.

1st Tee Confusion
We have played The Duke several times and always enjoy the course. This time, my wife and I booked as a twosome. As our tee time approached, the starter seemed very confused as they re-arranged some of the tee times. We ended up being delayed by about 10 minutes, and we got sent out alone as a twosome. Not a huge deal, just made for an awkward start to the day.

Lots of standing water after yesterdays rain. Quite muddy too.

Water didn't drain well
Played a day after a downpour. Holes 1,2 were flooded and muddy right off the fairway and puddles on the fairway. It didn't disturb play but driving the carts in the water wasn't ideal.
Play was slower as most typical muni courses.
Greens were nice and tricky at times.
Overall value was fine and I would play again if the weather prior was better.
