Always a favorite! But...
The course was very wet in spots, but not due to rain.
Had there been a course ranger on duty perhaps the 4 pin-pulling clowns in front of us that apparently were putting for $$MILLIONS$ would have been forced to let our 4-some play thru so we could have played a round of golf in less than 4.5 hours.
On the positive side, the fish fry was the best I have ever eaten.
Poor pace of play
5.5 hour round. This course has no Marshall’s. I was told the owner doesn’t want to cover the cost for one. Three groups backed up on the par 3,s. Fairway grass was thin

Conditions are Good
I've played here allot. This year the course is in rather good shape. Fairways and greens are nice. Rough is dormant grass, not too penalizing. Staff is friendly as always. Prices went up this year like everywhere else, but it's close and fun to play.

Okay
Pace of play continues to be an issue here. There was a twosome ahead of my twosome and a foursome in front of them. Better tee sheet management is desired. To make matters worse a single jumped ahead of us on the back 9 which backed things up even more.
Fairways were in good shape and greens rolled true. Greens were however spray painted green, not sure why. I got a great deal on golfnow, otherwise there is no way I would pay what they are asking for.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Pace
They let a group of 6 (not a foursome) play 2 groups ahead of us slowing down the pace tremendously. Did not see a renter on the course all day..

Solid value
With the exception of the pace of play (4:30 and waited on every hole), the course was in good shape and a good value for the money. Really like the layout except for #1 which suffers from too close to the range and poor penalty area placement. Would definitely play again but not at full price.

We’ll worth the drive
Played the Duke for the first time. The course conditions were excellent. Greens ran true. Fairways were in great shape overall. There were a few patches where the winter grass was still coming in. Traps were in excellent shape. Course layout was interesting. Plenty of room between the fairways and the houses to the sides. Didn’t feel claustrophobic like some courses. Place of lay was good. We finished our round in 3:45. Will be back soon!

Great greens, fairways….tee boxes ok, half the traps have really nice white sand, hoping the rest get done too…solid experience!
