Fun course
Challenging layout.. Greens have lots of breaks and are in very good shape. Fairways in good shape. Some bunkers had the brown crunchier sand and some had the white fluffy sand. I think the white stuff is new. They may be changing them all over to this sand. The white sand was a little deep. It needs to settle.
Pace very good for a Friday afternoon. This place has very good practice facility.

Greens a little fast but I love the course was on time for tee time we got to finish.

Typical AZ goat track
About a 4 hour 30 minute round, however felt longer. Group in front was your typical Jean wearing snowbirds that could care less there was people behind them. Course is very open, however in mediocre condition. Driving range was garbage, however had a nice practice green to putt and chip. Wouldn’t go out of my way to play here again.

Slow pace of play
Be prepared for a 5 hour round. We waited on nearly every tee box. There was no ranger doing anything about slow play!

Slightly worn out course
Course play was fine. Strange thing is they put white sand in only a few of the bunkers and only a few of the holes. Most bunkers were more pebbles and rocks than sand. Greens were good. along with tee boxes. Club house needs repairs and more employees.

Pace of play
Be prepared for a 5 hour round! The last 2 times I played there it took at least 5 hours! My question is why aren’t there any rangers out there doing something about slow play?

Too Slow
Let me start on the nice part of my experience . The course is in very good condition at least the back nine because that is all we seen.
The negative the course was greedy . They had a youth tournment at 11 clock and that held things up.
They scheduled another resident tournment and they were late getting started. The last group in the tournment had a 12:24 tee time . Our group had a tee off tee time of 12:28 . The course scheduled 4 minute tee times . We were 30 minutes late starting so we teed off at 1 clock and finished the back nine at 4 clock . At one point on the 16th hole a par 3 there were 5 groups waiting to tee off . I know we and the group behind us called the clubhouse to get a ranger out there and no one answered the phone . We finished the 18th hole and rather than follow this group to the 1st hole we asked if we could play the back nine again in hope of getting in the back nine before dark. Pace of play was a little slow again we were behind a husband and wife tournment until we reached the 16th hole again and 4 groups were waiting to tee off . It was 5:45 now and we decided to call it a day . It was not a good experince due to the course trying to get too many people on the course . Greed

Slow play - bad course management
Course layout is really nice but management of the course Is terrible. Tee time was 12:36 - delayed due to junior golf outing until 1:10. ( we were informed of the delay by email). Played 2 holes and the 3rd hole was backed up 4 deep. Waited 25 minutes. Played 4 more holes and were then delayed again at the par three 16th - this time 5 deep. Called the clubhouse for a marshall to help alleviate the problem. No response. As a result, 3 hours to play 9 holes. If several 4-somes did not quit, we would never have finished. It was a shame since the course layout is really pretty but managements lack of concern makes me never want to come back. Hopefully the people who quit got a refund. Play at your own risk.

Good value for your money
The fairways and greens were in good condition but there is a lot of hard packed desert if you hit your ball offline. Our round took almost 5 hours so it was a little slow. Practice facilities are excellent and staff were friendly. I enjoyed the round.
