Great layout
The course was in very good shape from the tee boxes to fairways to greens. This is a big improvement over the last time I played the course.
Nice course and fun to play.
Forest Green Golf Course is a good value and fun to play. The staff are friendly and informative. The course was in great shape for late summer and the pace of play was good. The course design accommodates all player skill levels. The carts and facilities were clean and in great shape. I look forward to playing another round of golf at Forest Greens Golf Course.
Looking good!
I've played here quite a bit over the years and as usual, late summer is always the best time. The fairways have come up well and are green. The greens are in very good shape. Like always, if people did a better job fixing ball marks, everyone would be better off. The course has made the bunkers (except for #8) ground-under-repair due to their poor condition. They have been bad for a while so hopefully at some point, funds will be available to improve them. The staff here is always friendly. Hopefully I'll be able to play here again before the snows come.
Fantastic Round
First time at this course, got paired up with a couple of guys and we had a blast. The course is challenging and was a lot of fun to play. The rate is great for what you get and the staff from start to finish were all really helpful and just good folks. The marshall at tee off was hilarious. I will definitely be back. The weather was so golf perfect as well so that helped make the day.
Worth it at Hot Deal or local Special
This was my first course in the area after leaving the southeast and lots of play on the RTJ Trail. The course layout, while not as challenging as the RTJ courses, is just as fun. The tee's were in decent shape, as were the fairways and the majority of the rough - although the fairways seem to still be recovering from significant damage in the last couple years and are either a little thin, or have been replaced with a mixed grass in some areas - not a big deal though as there was always a good lie within a foot or two of where I ended up. If you stay out of the bunkers, you won't notice how terrible they are - if you go in, do yourself a favor and just drop from behind them. The greens were easily the most well manicured areas of the property. They rolled fantastic and had perfect speed for the size and undulations of the greens. Be prepared for spike and ball marks though, the course superintendent can't be responsible for all the hacks that come out and have no clue how to walk or use a divot tool. I would play this course again, but only at the 40 dollar special rate (call ahead, sometimes they offer 40 dollar tee times with a bucket of balls and a water too).
Sequoia Roadtrip
I was extremely impressed with the course layout and the reviews from previous days were spot on. I wanted to give it an opportunity and I would come play here again. Tee to green was good except the bunkers needed serious attention as well as the cart paths. I was lucky to see a live Turkey and gopher during our round. At the turn we stopped in for lunch and Robin displayed top notch customer service.
We will be back!
Great course in excellent shape. Practice green reflected what you will find on the course. Although I didn't use it this day the grass driving range was also nice.
Play was a little long but not bad for a Sunday/Fathers day. Only saw the drink cart on the 8th and 16th holes.. Double up if you're thirsty!
I'll play there again .
For me it's a challenging course. Great layout. The sand traps or the lack of sand in the traps is the only thing I can say negative. The course is worth a try . I'll play it again
Great Course
Forest Greens was in great shape. Although very busy the pace was good. I finished my round in 4 hours and 35 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful and the course and the weather were picture perfect. Keep up the great work Forest Greens!
Course is convenient and great to play
No complaints at all. Love the course and especially for the price, you can’t beat it anywhere!
Great Course
The staff was friendly and professional, and the course and facilities were in excellent condition.
Good Day
Greens in great shape. Fairways recently aeriated and thin.
Service was fine but don't expect anything but hamburgers/hotdogs.
