The Metropolitan Golf Links

I was a member of the men’s club back in 2018 and I’m sad to see the course in such bad shape. Patches of grass missing on every fairway. Crab grass growing everywhere, makes me want to cry. I played with a guest from Las Vegas and I was ashamed to have waisted money playing here after playing Half Moon Bay two days earlier. The pin placement on 16 on a downhill slope made me think that the greens keeper does not know anything about golf. I won’t be coming back to play until drastic changes are made.

Played the first round at this links style course, love it. Each hole is wide open, no trees around, much less chance to lose the ball. It feels good to hit the sandy ground even there is no grass coverage in some spots. It's also a big plus to be able to hit balls on the grass in practice range.The playing pace was fast and the green was super fast, which I had big struggles putting.

Overall a decent track but not in the best of shape. The price to play exceeded what I’d have expected from a public course in modest condition. Staff were friendly and played with two very nice you g men. But unless it were the only place I could get a tee time, I’d pass. Felt the same way about Tilden in the Berkeley Hills.

There was light shower when we started so the course was widely open. It still the course was still playable and no problem using the cart in the fairway. Coursehas a good drainage. Course layout is good for amateurs much more to old timers or seniors. I would recommend this course to everyone.. It was good price for you deAl time.

Played a 5 1/2 hr round .. Pace of play was slow yesterday after 1 pm.

Great Views, well-maintained greens, the best driving range!

It was a windy day and the greens were in great shape. Fairways still have lots of bare spots.

After all the rains we had, I was very impressed of the conditions ... plus, Saturday was a beautiful day for golf ..

Course was in good condition despite being just after multiple rain and wind storms. Grass range was in good shape. Pace of play was good. Just under 4.5 hours walking and not too much waiting.
