Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club

Was pleased to see the course in great shape. I hadn't been there in approximately 3yrs,will be looking forward to playing there soon.

We were actually late for our tee time and the man at the desk couldn't have been more gracious. The course has interesting holes. It's a little dry but that's to be expected. Very good shape for the time of year. The greens had recently been aerated but overall weren't too bumpy. Most of the water hazards were dry which made playing the course not quite as challenging. But tough enough for me.

The greens were airraited, they told us this before we played , and they did an excellent job in doing so.

Greens have been over seeded and some of tee boxes very rough as these have been tuned as well, most of the course is very dry so a lot of bare lies on fairways, needs to have some water on it. Having said that the round was an enjoyable one

course is great greens are great staff is even better

We stopped playing this course a few years ago because the conditions deteriorated. We went back earlier in 2017 because we heard it got better. We played it about a month ago and it was better. TODAY IS WAS HORRIBLE! The greens were very good but everything else was like playing on concrete. I tees were so hard you could barely get a tee in the ground. The fairways were rocks with very little grass under the ball. Forget if you miss a green. The ball would roll down into probably hard clay area. It looked like they haven't watered the course in months.

Due to a lack of rain and evidently a lack of ability to water, the course was extremely fast. You could hit an easy low running drive and it would run out to around 290+ making the course akin to playing St Andrews. Unusual but fun.

Really enjoyed the course. The greens were tough. Will golf here again.

First time for this course and we had a great time. Play was a little slow to start since there were many golfers in front of us. The greens were fast, the fairways were in good condition. Plenty of challenges with the number so sand traps. All around a great course and will golf there again!

Nice layout...greens were perfect. Due to lack of rain, fairways were hard, so you got a lot of roll which could be a positive or negative. Biggest concern was the tee boxes...., extremely dry and hard...,difficult placing a tee without snapping it.

Again lack of rain here in Florida.

Nice scenic look challenging lay out , course was in good shape friendly atmosphere pricing very affordable will. E back to play again

Arrived early and since it was not busy was able to start right away. Very nice layout and course is in good shape. Will definitely be back.

Nice layout, course very dry, therefore ball rolls a long way, which for the weak golfers in our group liked. Saying that most course dry around here because of lack of rain. I would have liked to have sat down for a nice meal, but kitchen closed at 4. Probably good course for high handicappers while it is dry, i am thinking wet, totally different course

We arrived early for our tee time so we enjoyed a snack and sofa in the cafe. Putting green was excellent. Starter was polite and professional. Pace of play on front-9 was excellent. At the turn, we grabbed quick refreshments s no groups were close behind us. When we arrived at #10 tee, there was 2 groups ahead of us that were different players from the front-9! Our back-9 was horribly slow because of this. Obviously this is not proper that players are allowed to randomly jump in ahead of players.

I had not played Hernando Oaks for a few years and was pleased to find the course in good condition. Greens were moderate speed with the ball roll good. Will return soon!

Nice layout, but has yet to recover from the general economic downturn a few years back. Most central Florida golf courses invest in over seeding in Oct. on the fairways, greens and tee boxes. Hernando Oaks evidently did none of these in 2016 and it shows. Weeds are prevalent in the fairways and the tee boxes are bare or torn up. Hopefully, ownership will soon join the rest of central Florida's other golf courses and make the necessary investment to attract larger crowds. I won't play here again till then.

Always enjoy this course - we drive 40 mins to enjoy it

Very good course and very challenging. It has quite a bit of water and many sand traps well positioned. The fairways were in very good condition and the greens were fast and excellent. the only thing that wasn't in very good condition but were still good was the tee areas, the grass was sparse there. Very good course.

The course did not seem to be organized with golf.now people making reservations. I was charged the "going " rate and did question the older gentlemen behind the counter. He indicated that was the price and when I came back inside to get the bucket of balls that were to be included with the round he said he would "take my word for it." I did finally mention that i had used golf.now and checking another sheet, he did find us listed. Told me next time to mention golf.now and preceded to credit my card for the previous charge. For now I have not received my credit, even after calling the clubhouse, so will probably have to dispute the charge. We booked for 1:30 but talked with several people behind us and found them to have a tee time of 1:32. Was not a terribly busy day so didn't affect us adversely, was not appreciative though of the treatment received.
