Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club

I have always thought that this course was one of the most decent ones in Hernando. Prices have started increasing, but conditions of the course make the price worth it. The shack that they have for drinks and food at the turn, don't expect any hospitality or professionalism. Mixed drinks were priced pretty good, only for the bartender to get verbally annoyed that she had to make a drink. Guys at the pro shop act like they have the most inconvenient job in history with nothing but attitude and sarcasm at anything you say to them.

there was grass in the fairways, greens were good but sand traps were more like gravel

Disappointed as greens were very heavily sanded and we brought 2 new players to the course and no true putting possible. Golf Now made no notice or would have booked elsewhere. Give them a few weeks before returning.

Wish I know the green were aerated the day before I paid to play. Putting on a sand green really doesnt work.

I love the course but I'll wait a month or more before i go back.

HO is a great course for the intermediate to advanced player. Beginners will not score well at this course. So, unfortunately, pace of play is unpredictable, there are too many golfers on the course who don't care or have a basic understanding of golf etiquette, nor playing ready golf. They have a marshall, but I really have not seen him influence the pace of play. Fairways and greens for this price are a good value. Most tee boxes are horrible, from the most popular location. The employees in the snack bar need more training.

Nice layout, very dry tees and fairways but good greens. Greenskeeper is diabolical with holes on ridges and crowns so easier as you get to know greens over time. All the neighboring courses in north Tampa are also very dry

I have played this course 4 times since starting back to the game. Though I have not scored well YET, I love this course. It is challenging, the greens and fairways are in great shape, and it is a pleasure playing here. The pro shop exudes professionalism and the entire facility has a championship feel to it.

5 hours and 20 minutes. Unacceptable. Right off the bat the Starter didn't have a clue, no idea who was teeing off. Obviously no ranger on the course. Heading to 14 you could see 18 was completely open, nobody on it. The grounds were rock hard whether green, fairway or bunker. Rye grass is gone, need to wake up the Bermuda. Conditions were difficult and not in a good way. Luckily played with 2 really nice old guys so.the day was not a loss.

I have never seen this course in bad shape. Caught a good deal yesterday for a single and played kind of slow but not bad at all. Couple tee boxes were rough but outside of that perfect conditions. Play this course, you will enjoy !!!

Course is in really good condition for beginning of April. Greens were great and rolled good. Fairways were great, nice and green. Best course in the surrounding area condition wise. Wish I would of played here earlier last week because I would of played here every day instead of various other courses( Glen lakes, brooksville, Silverthorn)

Really enjoyed the course. I was very surprised with the conditions being so good for the price we paid. I would definitely recommend it.

Love this course. Greens were in great shape. Bunkers, however, leave a lot to be desired. Mostly dirt.

Always seems to be some confusion on booking through golf now. I play there about once a month and there always seems to be an issue and they always blame golf now. It was ultimately ok but it was funny that the starter said well let's see who shows up.

Course was in good condition. Greens were smooth and somewhat quick. Requires most clubs in your bag.

The course was in good shape. Nice course layout. Friendly starter. No pesonal coolers, supposed to have a drink cart, but what turned into.a 5 hr round (due to pace of play) not once did we ever see the cart.

The restaurant staff was very nice. The residents in the club house however were a bit rude. We will play again nd recommend to others. Just won't have after round gathering on the premise.
