The greens were rolling, we played back 9 first to accommodate the tournament they had going. They were awesome.
Nice Course!
I've played here quite a few time over the years. It's always been a really good value for the money. The staff is very friendly and professional. We will definitely be back very soon!
Super slow play on a challenging course
Course in very good shape. Greens and tees are decent. Most fairways are spotty green and brown. Layout is challenging. Only downside is the pace of play. 5 hours and we teed off at noon.
Shocked
Always look forward to playing Hernando Oaks.
The last time we played it was in the best shape ever.
Was shocked by how far the course had
deteriorated.
Greens were gone, grass was sparse, traps were rock hard or mud.
It will take a lot for me to play there again.
To top it off they wanted $63.00 fir their non Golf Now rate.
T.J.
I LOVE the layout! The course is slowly getting better after new ownership. Greens are good, some tees need more grass. There is a 100+ foot of cart path serving 2 holes on the back 9 that is gravel. This needs to be paved! Slowly correcting other cart path issues on a priority basis will help. All in all, this course can be REALLY, REALLY GOOD, if ownership will continue to spend the necessary $$ to make the aforementioned improvements!!
Wonderful course
Weather was perfect and cost was very reasonable with Golf Now purchase with rewards. One green was still in poor shape (but recovering) as a result of hurricane flooding 5 months ago. I try to play this course a few times each year since it is such a great layout.
Disappointed with the course conditions
The fairways were decent but most of the greens were covered in spots with green colored sand that was filling in holes. There were also a few greens that were covered with weeds blended into the grass. It was disappointing to say the least. I like the course layout but the conditions should be better. Even a course like Beacon Woods has greens in very good condition this time of year. Also many of the tee boxes were very bare ( a little grass with bare dirt). Also, the pace of play was pretty bad and no one was monitoring it.
Ok, typical Florida course
It would be nice if they would water the fairways. There is nothing to hit off of.
Opinion
All greens were excellent
#7par 3 needs reconstruction
Great value
It was a bit of a drive to the course but well worth it. The course layout is fantastic, as it winds through the old cypress trees. The greens were in great shape. They were soft and receptive, due to the hurricaines and flooding. Only green #7 has lasting damage. The greens do have some patchy areas but are better than the course closer to me that charges more than double. Fairways and tees were good, not great and the sand traps were in bad shape. We played preferred lies in the fairways and bunkers and it was enjoyable. I'd rate this course as geeat valie and overall good conditions.
