Hernando Oaks Golf & Country Club

Fun layout. Some gentle rolls in a few fairways. And some nice undulations on greens. Greens had some sand still settling from routine maintenance. Rolled good but did slow putts down a tad. Not a negative. Great to see a course actually putting the care in. Many don’t these days. Couple of tee boxes were a little subpar…pun intended. None of the were par 3s so the had no bearing on shots. Fun course. Go play it. Great Cuban sandwiches, too.

NO grass on the tee boxes, so hard couldn't even put tee in the ground. Greens were terrible. Do not play this course.

The fairways were in great shape, but if missed the fairway you will have a hard time finding your ball. They haven't caught up from all the rain on mowing the rough. Also a few bunkers have been neglected and 2-3 greens were a quarter to a third eaten up and just sand. Other than that you will like the course and staff.

Awesome track, beautiful scenery. Bunkers are bad, and the greens are slow, but overall a great time for the cost.

Been awhile since last I played here. It'll be a bit again, but I recall it being in good shape back then. Shame, but cannot recommend. I paid $50. No way it's a $50+ course in the Florida Summer.

Coarse is in over all great condition. Greens have been recently aerated which has to be done to maintain the greens but rolled pretty true. Sand traps were firm and had some water in them but with all the rain we’ve had that’s to be expected. Pace was slow because of a scramble in front of me but it didn’t effect my enjoyment of the day.

punched holes and the sand blew or washed away. it will be months before the greens are fixed. also killed the grass in several fairways.

Been to this course a few times, so whatever reason on Wednesday, June 19th the clubhouse was closed? With 100 golfers I have never seen no cart person or after 9 holes the place was closed. Very dissatisfying!

Absolutely love Hernando Oaks. This course is well managed, is a nice layout and is challenging for me. The traps are about to be redone and honestly the lack of decent sand due to drainage issues is the only fault that I could find. The course is pretty dry right now, but as soon as we get some rain, this will resolve itself. This is still my local favorite and I look forward to playing this property as often as possible.

Good play. Just hard turf and greens due to lack of water, so be prepared for plenty of roll out and greasy greens. Otherwise in good condition. Just that time of year without rain

I have always thought that this course was one of the most decent ones in Hernando. Prices have started increasing, but conditions of the course make the price worth it. The shack that they have for drinks and food at the turn, don't expect any hospitality or professionalism. Mixed drinks were priced pretty good, only for the bartender to get verbally annoyed that she had to make a drink. Guys at the pro shop act like they have the most inconvenient job in history with nothing but attitude and sarcasm at anything you say to them.

Disappointed as greens were very heavily sanded and we brought 2 new players to the course and no true putting possible. Golf Now made no notice or would have booked elsewhere. Give them a few weeks before returning.

Wish I know the green were aerated the day before I paid to play. Putting on a sand green really doesnt work.

I love the course but I'll wait a month or more before i go back.
