About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

Outstanding local professional course
Always a thank you to silverthorn for every time I golf here I do not have to worry about being stressed just trying to get a cart & tee off. The course is challenging every time I golf since I never hit the ball in the same location each time I golf there. Will be back again & again. Semper Fi..

Considering the lack of rain the coarse is in good condition. Greens were in great condition. Some fairways and tee boxes were dried out and need help. Overall not much difference in conditions than any where else in the area right now.

This course is in need of a lot of work. It used to be in great shape. Hard yo even drive a cart down most of the fairways. There is a lot of erosion on the course. Needs top dressed and sprayed. Should have sticker bushes on t- boxes and fairways. Pro shop also closed a 4:30 pm

Greens are good
I know it hasn't rained in months but, I have played other courses in area that are in much better condition. The tee boxes are mostly dirt. The fairways have some grass though lots of weeds also. If you miss fairway you'll be hitting off of dirt, stones and weeds. The bunkers are okay. The greens were surprisingly, in good shape considering the state of the rest of the course. I have been playing here for 15 years and am sorry to say I won't be playing here again. Well, maybe after some much needed rain and some good reviews.

Waste of money
Horrible fairway condition, for $35 it was a waste of money. You can hit a a ball on concrete softer then the fairways or be lucky enough to land dead center of the fairway in a mound of crab grass. Pitiful condition

Silverthorn
Course in horrible conditions, called earlier in the week and asked the course condition was told okay when actually was horrible, very poor conditions. Drove and hour to course to see a goat ranch. If you want to play this course first confirm the conditions from someone who has played it to get a better accurate course conditions.

Who's On First ??
I only play this course because a buddy lives close. We had a t time Thursday at 12 and they booked a tournament and a league at the same time. There were no carts available at 12. We waited til almost 1 o'clock for carts. What a cluster !!!!!! Besides that there is no fairway grass and a lot of the t boxes are a mess. Employees don't seem to care.

Horrible fairways
Lots of work needed on fairways. Nothing but ruts near greens is also a problem. Stop people from taking carts to within a few feet of greens would be a start. If they don’t do that then they don’t care.
