About
The Silverthorn Country Club golf course has earned its challenging 132 slope rating through a combination of rolling terrain, unpredictable Florida Gulf Coast winds, and no less than 96 strategically-placed bunkers. Joe Lee designed this course and it offers a mixture of wide-open links-style holes and tight, tree-lined fairways. The 25,000 square foot clubhouse offers a scenic vista of Silverthorn's championship golf course, surrounding lakes and splendid Florida sunsets. This classic blend of southern charm and golfing tradition will create wonderful memories for your golf trip to Brooksville

The course
Good course. Challenging in places. Some of the tee boxes were a little rough but overall for the price the course was awesome

tee boxes were rough and uneven hard to get a good footing fairways were dry and dead we have been playing there for years frist time in time we were diapointed

Getting greener
Just a little bit of rain can really produce a total different course. Nice playing after it finally rained. Made the greens twice as challenging. Will be back soon.

So disappointed with the overall conditions of the course. It was always a favorite course and I have no idea what happened. Layout is great.

Not one I would rush to play agaim
We have played this course before and the front 9 was good but the back 9 poor.
Went again and the same thing. So recently played 4/29/2023. Both front and back were in very poor condition. The greens were the only good areas. T boxes poor condition and very hard. Fairways were poor and hard not to mention many were like playing off a hard pack dirt area. Ruffs were just that, not mowed and full of mostly weeds. Bunkers , let’s just say not so much. More like hard packed sand and dirt. The only benefit was the green fees were inexpensive and reasonably so due to the very poor condition.
The course layout is great but needs a lot of work ! We won’t be driving an hour again anytime soon. Their website says green fees are like $54.00 Definitely not worth it ! We paid $39.00 and even with that I would not pay it again.
I know they need rain but I do feel some effort could be put into what is there and make it a little better.

Slowly coming back
Place is slowly coming back . I’ve heard it has new owners so I thought I would play it again. Much better condition than last year but still a ways to go. Greens are fine. Tees need a lot of help. Fairways are growing back. Summer rains should do wonders for fairways. Yes need to be seeded or just put new turf over them.. would definitely play again.

Seen Better Days
The condition of the course has gone down hill. Yes, there is a drought and it is dried up, but never saw anyone from maintenance working on anything. A real shame because at one time this was one of the top courses in the area. A very nice design!

Silverthorn golf course
The fairways were terrible lots of sand and bare spots. This course use to be beautiful and well maintained.

Good greens
The front nine is in much better shape than the back nine. The greens however are superb. Not many people on the course. Got around in 3:15.

Nice course could be in better shape
Nice layout and pace of play. Greens are decent but fairways are dry, hard and have bare spots. The sand traps are hard packed and not maintained. There are no rakes to be found.

Very windy day the course played long from the whites .The greens are very tricky to ready ,but it was fun with good friends
