Rolling Oaks is one of two championship courses at World Woods Golf Club. The layout offers something completely different from the renowned Pine Barrens course at the club, but it still offers the same amount of challenge and quality. The golf course is named after its landscape of rolling hills and forests of centuries old Oak trees draped with Spanish moss. Lush, rolling fairways lead to undulating greens that are protected by sharply defined, white sand bunkers. Water hazards come into play on three holes. The golf course has a traditional design but the dramatic elevation changes and picturesque landscape covered in azaleas, dogwoods, and magnolia trees really make it stand out. In addition to the two golf courses, World Woods also offers a nine-hole practice course and a circular, 20-acre driving range with target greens and practice bunkers.

This is me on one of the more difficult par 5's. If you play it and your a long ball, play it to the right fairway...You can make it...Lol.. Photo submitted by Robert5455343 on 11/16/2013

Great Layout!
Great layout with varied tees that will challenge all skill levels. Generous fairways, set in trees such that you do not see other groups too often. Peaceful! Good pace of play.
Boondocks Beauty
Way out in the middle of no where but a must play! Loved it!
Love this course, even with pinched greens
Course in great condition. Greens were a little slow, but understandable due to aeration. This is one of the prettiest and most fun courses in the Tampa/Brooksville area. The Marshall sitting at 16 could work on his friendliness. Otherwise another fun round at Rolling Oaks.
The truth is better in the end
We were told the course was in great shape. We were told its a top100 course. Well the TRUTH was ,Cart path only, casual water the size of football fields. 5.5 hours to play in 97 degree heat. 916 tee time , teed off at 935. Thats alot in Florida summer heat. Every bunker was unplayable. No discount, 13.00 for practice balls. Then when we were leaving the pro shop was telling another guy on the phone how great a shape the course was in. Then he offered the next golfer to switch to Pine Barrens because the course we played was " not really playable". What a poor business decision to take your money and assume they will never see us again. We live in Ocala!!!
Rolling Oaks at World Woods
This was the last day of aeration of the greens so they were in very good shape. Course as usual was very beautiful with Sandhill cranes and wild turkeys running free. Maintenance was being performed throughout the course but employees were respectful of guest playing. Overall very good experience.
Hot and tired
Teed off at 10:30 rolled up on number 8 2 hours later. Packed it up at 17 at 2:45. Too hot for 6 hours of golf.
Wwgc
Perfect day, very hot. Course was excellent! Greens were perfect! Great time!
Great course, but the carts, cart paths and practice chipping area are poor.
Course and course condition is very good. However, for a top 100 course, the condition of the carts is atrocious. I have had a tire blow twice in the last three weeks. Cart paths need immediate attention and the practice area, which has a great chipping area has a sign that says you can only putt, no chipping. Totally ridiculous. Again, great course, just be prepared to walk a little until they can bring you a different cart.
Great Place wish it was less money
I love World Woods and always have. I just wish it would lower the price more often that way it would be used more. Great place though.
Rainy afternoon round
Heavy rain arrived just in time for my round; this had two notable effects. One, it emptied the course. Two, it turned the round into a cart path only slogfest across beautifully soaked turf. I say “beautifully” because the week before, the course was starting to show signs of drying out due to a long, early heatwave. Condition of turf is ideal throughout, but recent heavy rains have really taken a toll on some of the bunkers, especially the deep bunkers below some greens (Pine Barrens is similarly affected).
Great Day for golf
Excellent day, great course, friendly people. What more can one ask.
Great course!
What a great course! Interesting layout for all holes, course was in great shape and greens were fast. The course is a little long for ladies however still had a fun round. . Pace of play was good, only waited a couple of times. Will definitely be back.
Simply put, play it.
This is a wonderful course to play. The conditions and layout are marvelous. Bite off too much and it is a beast
AS expected
Great course in good condition
Reasonable price.
Would definitely return
Rolling Oaks
World Woods has the best 2golf courses in the State of Florida outside of Innisbrook!!!
Fantastic Course with undulating fairways and Greens
It is the first time that we played at world of woods and we were not disappointed.
The course was fantastic and in great condition.
Would definitely be back to play this course again
Play it again and again
Great fun. No condos or somebody’s backyard pool to look at. All good holes except for the ones that need tree removal( 6,11,13,14,18)
Only issue other than the course consistently kicks my butt is the amenities. I like the fact that it’s all golf but at 90 degrees they need more than one cart serving 36 holes.
This is a great place as is it’s sister Pine Barrens. Get there and play them more than once.
Wonderful Golf
I’ve been coming here for 20 years and think it is the best golf for the $ in the country. Brandon or Streamsong might have a little in quality but not when you compare the $49 I paid on May 1st
That said I do have some thoughts for improvement. First get a chainsaw. Pine Barrens probably needs it more but Rolling Oaks needs a cutting on #6,14,18 would so much improve the holes.
The other nego was not golf related but when we finished at 5:15 the clubhouse was locked including restrooms. I am a golfer and could care less if they close but on a 90 degree day they really need to provide some comfort services.
Little grumbles aside this place is golf. If you haven’t been put it at the top of your list. If you have been you know what I’m talking about
