About
At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.
It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.
"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

Excellent Experience
First time playing this course. On a road trip with my buddy and we decided to play here. Great choice!! Staff were friendly and helpful. Made you feel welcome.

Aerated Greens
Kudos to the superintendent and his cree for a job well done on aerating the greens. They still roll like normal greens.

They had just arified the greens and they were full of sand. There was not a reduced rate for the greens being awful. The bunkers were either no sand or too much sand.

Mixed experience
Overall, the course was a tough challenge, in good shape, rough was very penalizing US Open style rough . Greens were in nice shape.
Shout out to John Morgan, who bailed me out of an embarrassing situation. Booked the tee time mistakenly a week before we arrived through golf now as a prepaid round. He was able to change up our reservation honoring the same rate. Very cool and helpful of him. 5 stars for being accommodating.
My less than stellar experience was with the dining area. Arrived with 3 other buddies an hour before tee time to grab a quick breakfast before heading to the range. 45 minutes later the food arrived, so no good warmup time, felt rushed getting to the tee box because it was 5 minute cart ride to first tee.
Also, the food was cold, and made me feel ill, so not a great way to start the round. I’m sure there were staffing issues but maybe something to look at.

Arroyo in March
The course layout is terrible! It is a LONG, confusing drive just to get to the 1st tee and just as bad between some holes. They have had to spray-paint lines on the road to guide lost golfers!!!
I expected better conditions. Tee boxes were bare and covered by coarse sand, fairways were shaggy, and the first few greens were terrible (Back 9 were better)
Actual layout of the individual holes was very nice and very diverse. Lots of elevation changes.

Pace of Play
Started the round on the 8th hole and were thrown off by the pace of play with a twosome hitting into a foursome of single digit handi’s- had to wait for a cart as well?? Over a B experience, too bad since the course is actually very nice challenging rock hard greens. Certainly room for improvement under direct control of the staff.

Upgrades
Bunkers were a bit rocky last couple years. No more. Numerous had been newly sodded. as well. My favorite course in Las Vegas for sure. Good job staff

Great Views of Red Rock, challenging greens
Beautiful views of Red Rock sharing facilities with a private country club. Course was challenging and in good shape. It was a cold weather week along with tournament play so sand wasn't raked, divots were plenty and greens were very fast lacking grass. Price was right on a hot deal for the environment.

Golf in Vegas
Not impressed with dyed tees. Rough uneven fairways. Driving range like hitting out of a gravel pit Zdid love the layout

Wonderful course
Was sleeting the first few holes, but course was in good condition, except greens need some repairs. Started at 6:15am so pace of play was wonderful. Once the starter takes you to the first hole, course is easy to navigate by following signs. Very friendly staff. With 5 tee off boxes per hole, the course is designed for all abilities, GPS on the carts is nice. Definitely a course I would play again and bring out of town guests.
