Arroyo Golf Club

As an 11 year Vegas resident I never made it out to this very nice facility, and I'm not sure why. If I was paying the visitor rate I might walk away disappointed, but for us locals the price is definitely right. I can't think of one thing on the course today that wasn't in good condition, except for my golf swing, and I'll go back with no hesitation.

I like Arroyo as a fun course, great condition, awesome location. Good value for the money. My only complaint from the last time I played was that it seemed as though maybe there was an event the day before and people hadn’t fixed their pitch marks on the green but the pins had been moved to fresher parts of the green so I didn’t have any major issues with them, I just fixed the ones in my line before putting.

Great Arnold Palmer course. Very fair. Very enjoyable. Will definitely play again.

I want to give this place 5 stars but just can’t! Love the course set up, very player friendly, but the staff and the conditions were borderline poor! The range attendant was just flat out rude, not the members side but the non-member side. I asked if we’d be notified of of start time to head to the first, and she laughed at me and said NO! She was there the whole time, but no help at all! I asked who we were paired with and she refused to tell us! Why? She said they were there too, but wouldn’t tell us. Just poor. The course is playable right now, but give it a month and it’ll be completely brown. Already seeing signs of that on the greens now in April! This place will be unplayable by June!

Since I shot my record round of the year I might be a bit optimistic In my review however here goes. First off the greens were consistent in speed and putts seemed to roll as predicted. Tee boxes were level and very well maintained. Fairways were in great shape with both fairway cut and rough cut length that allowed recovery shots to the green. Lots of green side bunkers. I found a lot of them because of the 20 knot wind this round. Traps were firm sand but were consistent throughout the entire course. That 77 was the second best score in this 15 handicap golfer’s life.

Red Rock Arroyo is dependably in good condition, and even more so now (4/15/21) as I think this is as good as I've ever seen it! The layout is enjoyable, interesting, and on occasion, scenic as well. Use of the range is included, has good balls and you warm up hitting on grass. Nice! It's quite a drive to it from the clubhouse and also to the 1st tee, though, so allow a little more time for your prep.

The fairways are plenty wide enough and always green (except during overseeding, of course), and today was no exception. The rough is thick and lush, about 2 1/2 inches long, which means the ball will sit down but good contact and some extra distance allowance will still give decent results to us intermediate golfers with average swing speeds. Sometimes it gets longer and then we can have a difficult time finding our balls in it and it becomes a hack and slash to get out- but not today. Somewhat penal, especially when chipping around the green, but by no means unfairly so.

Tee boxes were fine and the greens were really, really nice. Typically, Red Rock Arroyo is pretty fast and it's difficult to hole out because shorter putts will easily wander offline on the subtle slopes and imperfections around the holes, but I think the medium speed we mere mortals encountered today was a delight. I never had anything veer offline and our regular group didn't have to putt as defensively as usual. The usual ball marks pepper the greens, as they're nice and responsive to approach shots- but they exist from uncaring players, not an uncaring staff. I'll try to fix a few when I'm waiting to putt.

All the bunkers we were in had been recently dragged and filtered and were in very good condition with the exception of the greenside one at #18 which is still full of rocks and pebbles. Probably they just haven't got to that one yet...

It was a very enjoyable round, which we completed in 4 1/2 hours- and that was only because we had a cart die out and had to wait for a replacement- we still only had to let one group go through as the response to our call in was quick and we were on our way again in short order.

Nice course, near perfect conditions, great staff- very highly recommended!

The course was in excellent condition. Checking in was quick and the person in the pro shop in the morning was a pleasure to deal with. No water bottles or wet towels was kinda of a bummer. But that didn’t affect that the course was in really good shape.

The greens were as fast as I thought they would be but they were very acceptable they probably been punched lately from the looks of things. Overall I found the course to be a really great condition I'd like to play it again when the greens were as slick as it looks like they could be. At 120 bucks maybe slightly pricey but I thought it was just fine at that price. Would have been tough on a windy day.

Decent course but not worth the money. Lime green colored fairways. Not worth the money.

Good desert course in spring. Layout is a little disjointed as there was some travel involved between sections of the course. Greens were sanded and aerated, a little slow and bumpy.

Greens and firways were punched but no information was provided regarding the current state of the course when booking. There were course maintanance personnel allover the greens and fairways. It was not worth the price of admission and should have been heavily discounted. Course layout is great if played under normal conditions.

Course in great shape besides the bunkers. The bunkers need more sand. Greens were very fast but that may also be from the massive wind we played in. Great course and everyone there was friendly and helped you out. Will go back for sure
