Arroyo Golf Club
About
At Red Rock Country Club, Arnold Palmer has created an escape from desert golf with a lush green course that forces golfers to think over their shots. As you're thinking, a waterfall could be crashing in the background. There are actually two Palmer courses here, but only The Arroyo is open for public play.
It measures in at 6,883 yards from the back tees and uses dramatic bunkering to set off its holes. The par 4s are particularly inventive, especially the 432-yard 4th. The par-3 seventh gives you great views of The Strip in the distance. The greens consistently run 10-11 on the Stimpmeter and the fairways are designed to funnel shots that are not overly wild back into decent lies.
"The Arroyo Course is what it is -- a playable course with stunning scenery and a smattering of decent golf holes," former TravelGolf.com writer Shane Sharp said. "It won't provide as memorable a round as Sin City's big-name resort courses, but the price is relative. If you're looking for a course to include in your annual Vegas rotation, Arroyo would be a nice addition, considering its conditioning and scenery."

too suburban
Surrounded by homes. I was expecting more natural beauty, felt as though the golf course was an afterthought. Very challenging but the hazards were so predictable, they verged on being cliche. I expected more from this course. Staff was very accommodating.
Nice Course
Very nice course in good condition. Although it was cart path only the walk really wasn't that bad. Paired us up with another couple and really enjoyed our day. We will return to play again sometime soon; next time in town likely, regards.
Good, But...
Very nice course except we were not advised when booking we would be limited to the cart path. Husband has replacement hip making walking an entire course challenging. Especially when you have to walk back and forth across the entire fairway. This should be advised when making and paying for reservations, which it was not.
Greens were harder due to all the sand and aeration. Due to late watering portions of the course were very wet.
Avoid these and you will experience an enjoyable course. Staff was great!
.
great track
Second time playing a desert course. Had a great time. Looking forward to come back next year.
Over seeding season and greens have been dressed with sand
I have to say the the guys were great to get us out as we were late by 40 mins. We got the heads up, from the cart guys that you might want to get in front of this group. Well as we were ready to tee off the starter person pulled up and Was giving us the gears about beening late. That this tee time was there's and we should play behind the 5 some. Well since we were only a 2 some the group let us go and we never saw them. I see that they let a bunch of groups pass too, many be slow play!!! Starter guy needs to use some common sense.
We played it in 3:40 min on cart path only, because we got to pass two groups. If we were behind the 5 players that could have been 5 hours plus.
If you have a pin lazer bring it, as it will come in handy. Because you may get fooled by the cart gps distances.
I would like to play it in high season to see if I can better my 6 over. With better greens
great course
The course was overseeded recently, so the conditionof the fairways and greens were poor. Still, this course is one of the great ones. Loved it!!!
nice
sister course to siena, nice course, quick greens, slow pace
Arroyo at Red Rock
For starters, $59 for a local is ridiculous for this course. TPC is the same price and it is in pristine condition. Paiute is $10 to $20 cheaper and is simply in a different league than this municipal golf experience.
The practice facility is ratty at best, with most of the grass torn up. The fairways are okay, but just off of the fairways are all beat up and need a lot of work. The greens are just okay, with uneven speeds across the course. They would be well served by making the players watch a "how to fix a ball mark" video before the round.
Overpriced for what you get. There is simply many better options for the money in Las Vegas these days.
Also, the slope is way off. No way this course slopes at 135 from the tees we played.
Course was fun
I really enjoyed my day. Course was in good shape and employees very friendly and accommodating. Guest practice facilities were nowhere near as nice as the membership practice facility. I will definitely play here again.
Wide fairways help to get game going on a positive note.
Pro shop and grill staff were very nice and helpful. The starter must have been new because he didn't know any pin placement information. ( We soon figured out that it was red=front, yellow=middle, and blue=back,) Overall it was a good time playing a very well conditioned course.
wife had a great birthday/beautiful course
went to vegas for wife birthday, she and I had a great golf experience, the course was in great condition (Arnold Palmer) .greens were smooth and not to fast , I found a few fairway bunkers but not to tuff to get out ,we had fun
Arroyo Course in August 2014
Excellent course, great condition. Challenging and fun, will definitely play again.
Fun run
Myself and playing partners had a very nice time. I'm thankful for being able to use GolfNow - definitely helped with the green fees.
Beautiful
The course is in a beautiful area and is in excellent condition. The views are magnificent and it is well worth going the extra few miles to play this golf course.
Good value for price
Good course for intermediate level golfers. Single digit handicap or long bombers will find this course fairly easy. Shot 3 over playing off black tees on first visit. Since Las Vegas air is thin and hot, balls were traveling 1-1.5 clubs longer.
Greens were slower than expected. Fairways were in good condition. Some bunkers were almost barren and desperately needing sand. Pace of play was very bad on the Saturday we played.
Staff was super friendly and professional. Facilities were very nice practice range. Carts had no GPS. For the price and facilities, I would come back.
Good Las Vegas for a fair price
Overall fairly happy with course. Staff was very nice and friendly. Practice range is well maintained with staff on hand to notify you of tee time. Course is good for intermediate and high handicappers. Single digit handicap and bombers will find this course easy. Playing from black tees, I reached the end of the fairway several times. Basically, driver and 9I or less to greens.
Pretty course with good conditions. Some of the bunkers need more sand. Most of the greens are in decent conditions considering the weather. The pace of play could be improved. We finished in 5 hours. Since most golfer are shoot over 90, it may be an unreasonable expectation. However, I would definitely play here again but from gold tees next time.
Good course very fair for risk reward.
Enjoyed the company of new friends, played from the black tees and no problem with desert caries. No water hazards that came into play. Greens where very consistant in speed a little slower then use to,. Restrooms where hard to find and th wife of one of the players went all the way back to club house which slowed play 5 hour round on Saturday a little long for this course length.
Hidden Treasure
First time at the Arroyo Course. The four of us were delighted. Great shape. Nice course
Beautiful course
A must play if you go to Vegas and you want to see a desert course
