Cypress Point Country Club
About
Cypress Point Country Club is conveniently located within minutes of the Norfolk International Airport and the Virginia Beach Town Center. Despite its accessibility, the golf course feels peacefully isolated, making it a great choice for golfers who are looking for the convenience of a city course with the pace and beauty of the countryside. It's a layout that is as challenging as it is scenic with strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides and fairways. The occasional water hazard also comes into play. The golf course will challenge players of all skill levels but it's not overly punishing for high handicappers. Beginners will still be able to enjoy a round at Cypress Point Country Club. Besides the course, the club is also popular for its practice facility, which has a driving range and chipping and putting greens.

We were golfing our way to the Outer Banks and chose this course along the way. The course was beautiful and the staff were friendly. We will be back!!!
We are traveling to the Outer Banks and decided to play on the way !!! We chose this course by reviews .it did not disappoint. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The pace was slow but we got through it.
Second day in a row I played this course. Very well maintained, open layout great facilities!
Ok for the area
Fairly slow pace of play but course was pretty packed.
Average course conditions and greens were on the slow side. I have played this course in the past and it’s usually in better shape.
5+ hour round
When we teed off there was no one in sight ahead of us. By hole#3 there were two foresomes waiting. At times through the front nine three groups were waiting. No ranger, no one from the clubhouse looking into “why”. The front nine too more than 3 hours. We waited a little on the back nine but completed it in about 2 hours.
The course had a nice layout, extremely slow greens and tee boxes on the back nine in rough shape.
Grades do not reflect
This was a miserable day of golf. Weather was wet and course was cart path only. Not great for a couple of 80-year-olds. I gave the grades I did because I have played this course a few times before and I know what it is like on a regular day.
Fun Course Early Season
Course continues to improve. Greens are in good shape for this time of the season. Very friendly staff!
Long day
5 hours and 22 minutes….longest round of golf ever. Even more so, considering you can play east Potomac in DC on a weekend a tad quicker than that. Greens were kept nice, however, they were really fuzzy and slow. Fairways were ok. Bunkers…..plenty of rocks in them. The range was ok. The beverage cart service was fantastic. The young lady driving was making rounds like crazy.
Early season
I was surprised that the course is coming along this early in the season. Greens were in good shape. Rough was challenging. As always I enjoy the course a lot! Staff is always friendly!
Love the course
The course is very beginner friendly. It’s very well maintained and is pretty wide. The hazards are placed at the perfect positions too.
I enjoyed the course. Then a couple of other singles and we had a nice round. They just aerated the course so putting was a challenge but overall of course was a good shape. Had some challenging holes and I enjoyed it.
