About
Located in the eastern half of Coachella Valley, Trilogy Golf Club at La Quinta (formerly known as "Coral Mountain Golf Club" and "The Golf Club at La Quinta") has a scenic desert landscape that showcases the beauty of southern California. Opened in 2002, the club hosted the PGA Tour LG SKINS from 2003 to 2006, testing the skills of pros like Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, and Tiger Woods. The golf course is situated at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains, offering scenic views and a hilly terrain that provides interesting undulations in the greens. The rugged desert is accented by lush oases of dramatic water features, which of course serve as challenging hazards. There are also bunkers bordering the fairways and rolling greens. The golf course can be as challenging or as gentle as you like with several tees available, including the SKINS tees, which play at nearly 7,200 yards.

A nice comeback
Neighborhood residents banded together to purchase the closed course for a reported $6 million in early 2024 and have impressively revived it. During my round, it was easy to see why this course needed to be saved. It's got some nice views of the surrounding mountains and is just plain fun to play. It's not a demanding Pete Dye course that will kick your teeth in like those at PGA West. Six ponds are properly placed throughout the routing, affecting a third of the holes. Water is most often a manageable menace on the par 3s. It's a wonderful member's course that's open to the public. The new signs posted at each hole that remind golfers of past Skins Games are a nice touch. Trilogy hosted the Skins Game from 2003-2006 when stars such as Tiger Woods, Annika Sorenstam, Fred Couples and John Daly competed. You can know follow in their footsteps.
Liked the course, pace was horrendous
Good layout, factoring in they are closing for resending the day after I played. in decent condition. 0 rangers on the course, pace was horrible with usually 3 groups on every hole.

Great Bang for the Buck!
It had been over three years since I played Triology. The course is in great shape, staff was extremely friendly/helpful and just had a great time. Not that difficult of a course, but overall, great experience!

Good course, pretty tough at times. Plenty of bunkers and water hazards. Only Con is that at certain sections houses are extremely close and tighten Fairway. Would definitely play it again. ⛳️
Clean fairways fast greens
Excellent condition from tee to green. Welcoming, attentive staff with great off course amenities. Great condition from tee to fast paced greens. One of the many great tracks in the Palm Spring region.
Diamond in the Rough
Well, this golf course needs love and it could be great! Tee boxes were not level, Poor greens, fairways spotty, traps ok. No marshals anywhere, the cart person was out of most everything from when she started and it was 105 degrees, unacceptable period. You would think they would think about the players in 105 degrees and have drinks, snacks, towels etc. Shame on management!
Brand New
Course has been completely redone and is in phenomenal shape. Greens are perfect, challenging but pure. Pace of play was great and course has right level of difficulty
Happy at Trilogy
Enjoyed the course. Didn't find it particularly challenging but the layout is very nice and the condition of the course was excellent especially the new greens which were VERY firm and fast. Liked the Skins Game themed hole name (see pics). Some nice water holes. They have done a nice job reopening the course. Friendly staff & speedy golf carts. (No GPS however)
