Great course, layout & staff. I highly recommend BG. I am from NC, and I thoroughly enjoy the up & down layout. Golf staff are very friendly and personable. Wait staff in club house are both polite & very responsive. Great place to work the ball and place your shots. Greens are a little tricky, and play a little quick. Fun place to play, for sure.

It was my second time play this coirse, and really awesome experience to play both times. Good fairway condition and green condition as well. I want to play this course again.

Tough little course, tight in places, and fast smooth greens. The ball breaks where it looks like it will but keeping long shots on is hard. Beautiful scenery and views.

Loved this course, but bring your straight game. Missing here means trouble. The first question they ask at the 19th hole may well be "How many balls did you lose?" Rather than what you shot. Putts break toward the valley, trust it! On the back nine be aware of the mountains, those putts are slowwww. Very photogenic layout. Have a great round.

Second group of at sunrise. Good course with ample room on most holes. Course plays up into the hill side. Greens rolled true and speed was about 8.5 on stemp. Had an enjoyable round. Would certainly play this course again.

Black Gold from the blues and tips on a windy day, given the half dozen holes played up in the foothills exposed to gusts of wind, is a very challenging course. The greens are almost always in excellent condition and roll at 10 to 11 on the stimp. Consider playing the elevated mountain holes 10 thru 15 with choked down knockdown shots and two up club half swings ... to keep the ball low and controlled ... as if you were playing in Scotland. Fun course if you choose the right tee boxes.

I enjoyed playing the course now for the second time. I'm an avid golfer visiting family from NY. Its a great layout with friendly staff. The course is in excellent condition especially for all the recent rain. The greens were just moist enough that when ball marks were repaired they completely disappeared. I have never experienced that before. There were a number of ball marks on each green and I wound up repairing two or three per green. Golfers should show a little more respect when playing this course. The round took about 4 3/4 hrs which is good but a little longer than the 4 1/4 target.

What I was most impressed with was it had rained super hard the day before and the course drained no problem . I hate playing a course when its cart path only. It was wide open and played great

Course layout, service, play, food, and pace was good as usual. Only problem was the course has been beat up more and more each time I play here since my first time in 2008. I've probably played this course 8-10 times, about once a year. Each time I play it, the course seems to have more and more dead spots, GURs, and the greens were much slower and trampled - although they are still better than most in the city courses. For the medium price of $65 around 1030AM during the weekdays, it's a fair deal. If I paid near a hundred, it would not be good.

Great golf course makes you feel you're in a war zone because this has slopes everywhere never flat footed and the green OMG it's tough and very challenging a must play course,if you haven't play it believe me it worth every pennies,good luck

interesting course, quite challenging with many height differences. exact playing is mandatory! greens nice ondulated and fast, fairways partly dry but very palyable. only negative: slow pace on a saturday afternoon, no marshall around to hurry up the flight 2 ahead of us

Year around awesome condition. Friendly staff. 4.5 hrs pace on weekend. Challenging layout

The course was great and the pace of play outstanding. We teed off at 2pm and finished by 6pm, a nice and comfortable 4 hour round.
