About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Get the fairway in order
Tee box and greens are nicely maintained. Fairways are grassless and mid in some areas

This course has improved the layout of bunkers.
It has removed many unnecessary bunkers. Very good.

Course management - key to a good round
Provided the type of challenge that helps to improve my game. The wildlife was a pleasant addition to the challenge. Had a great time for my first experience on this course.

Always problems
Course is either beat up or their range ball machine is broken. Seems like there is always problems with this place.

Overall the course is in great shape. A little wet in a few spots, but overall great shape. Thank you also for having Sand in the bunkers - it’s the small things that make a difference and having actual sand and rakes vastly improve game play and the playing experience.

Best Value in Bay Area
TT was noon on Monday, and finished in 3:45 - place was empty.
Have played the course many times, and it has never been in better shape.
Grass range with excellent balls and multiple target flags.
DealTime was $34, then 20% off of that.
Tee boxes not perfect, but perfectly fine - plenty of grassy, level spots to play from.
Just a fast round on a great course at a crazy low price.

Wet for almost every hole's landing zone on the fairway though bunkers got quite better than before.

Better than last time, but still needs work.
My experience was much better than last time as the bunkers were completed and there are no more temporary greens. All of the greens were running quick and true. If only the irresponsible d-bags would fix their pitch marks. Fairways had some bare spots as well as some intense soggy-ness going on so that was a challenge at times. My main concern is the condition of the tee boxes. Some of them were just bare dirt and sand while others were so lumpy it was tough to find a level surface. I think the course needs a tee box renovation with grass that isn’t as spongey next.
