About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Nice Play as usual
There was some renovations but it was quite well maintained and enjoyed.
Eagle Ridge!
Had a great time with my wife. Met a friendly local. Beautiful course and very challenging. Cant wait to come back when construction is complete. Staff was friendly and the grounds crew are doing a great job keeping the fairways and greens immaculate. A+++++++++

Rehab coming along nicely
The bunker rehab is coming along nicely and close to completion. Greens are in acceptable condition as are fairways. Tee boxes could use some love.

Eagle Ridge
Eagle Ridge has made and is making great strides to bring the course back to prominence.
Currently in the process of renovating the sand traps, (front 9 done back none almost finished.) this course will be a challenge to all levels of play and at the same time be a fair test of your skills.
Fairways and some tee boxes appear worn but with constant care this course can be a gem to be proud of.
Would be nice if food services were more abundant. Resturant is open at 11am Tues -Sun. Wold be nice to have breakfast to start the day and get folks to the course early.
Range is in good shape and tees are rotated to keep a grass surface 6 of 7 days.
Views and scenery are best in the county with a comfortable pace of play to enjoy the quiet surroundings.
Bring extra balls as the course can be tight and there are plenty of ravines to make you plan your approach shot properly.

Eagle Ridge - Course Undergoing Construction
I've played Eagle Ridge for many years. This round had two holes undergoing construction. The 13th par three has a temporary green making the hole 80 yards. The par 3 16th hole was closed. Most of the other holes had new bunker layouts completed. Greens were in good shape but not very fast today..

Eagle Ridge Rocks!
Always a good time at Eagle Ridge. Evan in the pro shop is always “super cool”. The pace of play is always good. Can’t wait till the bunker project is complete. Will definitely be back!

LM on Eagle Ridge
The layout of the course is good. It’s challenging!!! The greens are in good condition…putts roll very nicely. Unfortunately, the fairways are in average shape…many bare spots on fairway…lack of greens. On several holes the Bunkers are neglected. The staff are friendly and accommodating!

First Time
Enjoyed the course and staff was very friendly. As a course with many holes that require lay ups or targeted tee shots, something like cart GPS would be very helpful. I found myself in ravines multiple times after putting a drive in the fairway. Still a good experience

Not for high handicap golfers
Back 9 holes are very challenging holes. The course is interesting in term of course design. The only thing that I rate it 4 stars are all the sand bunkers are under repair and the last hole is a temporary hole.

very let down
OK first with the good they are SLOWLY improving this course(I mean its seriously been almost three years since we played here)And when I saw what they were charging I assumed they had renovated the whole course finally.Terrible assumption...although alot of the front nine bunkers have been improved fairways have alot of dry areas and greens aren't very smooth,some even looked like they were still recovering from aeration.On the back nine most all bunkers are GUR(ground under repair)and even know some of the whole look good huge areas of grass are marked as ground under repair as well?This was once an amazing course that was very challenging and pristine,yet now they charge over double what it was once and it is far from that.I may be judging this a bit hard,but how many years does it take to improve the course?And why if it is not in that condition are they charging these ridiculous prices?I'll give it another three years and see if its complate by then and give it another shot,but in the mean time I will stick with the other courses nearby that are up to par and cheaper yet,you play at your own discretion and see what your take is on this

Decent course
Overall the course was enjoyable. It is currently under renovation so ther are a few holes with under renovation areas. Other fairways are in need of work as well. In general the fairways have a lot of undulations.

Being rerouted but nice play
Eagle ridge is undergoing some changes. Many of the sand traps are getting removed so lots of sand ground under repair but course is very playable. Greens and fairways are in great shape and layout is challenging. ER had way way too much sand before so the end result looks promising. Had a good time and would play again
