About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Bunker
Bunkers issues are getting bit better.Lack of sand made most of bunkers out of play. dropping outside of them.Made course that much easier to play on.

Great views
This has amazing views from every angle. The greens were in great condition as well as the fairways. Front nine all sand traps were just redone. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I will be playing here again

Great Improvements to front 9
5 months since I played this course due to surgeries and I was very pleased to see the front 9 looks great,. New sand in the bunkers, fairways and rough cut just right, dead spots of grass cleaned up and filled in, things are definitely inproving. Back nine will be repaired and new sand by Springs end I was told so I expect this course to be in top notch condition in the next few months. Greens were pretty fast today but fair. I am happy to see this course is shaping up nicely and cant wait to play it agin in the near future...

Good round Fair price
Happy with the course overall .
Enjoy the layout . Course needs work and it appears they are working on that .
My only concern is when the course work is completed and schedule this summer .
I hope they don’t hike the price up .

Getting better
It’s been a few very rough years however things are looking up. Front 9 traps have been renovated. Fairways in good shape with many challenging lies. Greens in decent shape and fast. Pace was good. Practice facilities were great and not too crowded. Scored a good rate with a cart included. I’d play again, which I haven’t been able to say for several years.

Great course
The sand traps are back on the front nine. That's a good thing. The course is challenging, but not unfair.

Course needs attention.
Course needs major work. Bunkers still a work in progress. Many of the fairways need attention along with signage throughout the course and facility. If ER is going to charge top $$$ they should in return provide a top of the line facility for golfers.

Unfriendly staff and unruly platers
First, let me say I have been playing this course randomly for years. Each time we play we are disappointed just enough to pull this course from our rotation for at least two to three months. Today’s round was the worst by far, starting with pro shop staff that was rude and obviously unhappy to be there. No starter led to a group trying to jump our tee time (they were teed up 20 minutes early) which led to an argument before we even started. When the pro shop was alerted the staff member chose to walk away and say nothing leaving us to offer up our time to quell the mad testosterone levels flowing by the elderly threesome that had claimed the tee box. Once on the course it was stop and go play all day. The fairways are sadly in need of attention and the bunkers are still ‘ground under repair.’ Even after two years! It’s sad to see this course and it’s patrons taking such a turn for the worse. We won’t be back anytime soon. Player beware.

Difficult tight course views are nice in Gilroy
I haven't played Eagle Ridge in a couple of years due to all bunkers placed on "grounds under repair" and fairways not being kept up. Eagle Ridge is one of my favs in the Gilroy area but disappointed that it hasn't been kept up as a top-rated course when it first opened up. I was told there are new owners and Management and by next summer should be back to a superior top rated course. Can't wait!!
