Beautiful challenging course
Each and every hole on this course is interesting. Never s dull moment. Pace of play is pretty good
A course that needs touch ups
I can see the spots on the fairways that need help for sure looking like balding spots, but if its that bad move the ball to a clear spot as long as you dont advance it forward.
One of the holes has an old water hazard on the left of the green that looks like it was cleared out I say fill it in and make it a bunker. Tee boxes were fine looking like normal tee boxes, weed patches on fairways and tee boxes, but you can use them as an aiming point for shots! Greens were good no issues. The lay out was challenging and fun!, this course is long enough for all you bombers out there, but if you're not accurate this course will punish you cause it's tight on lots of holes know your yadages! Cause fairways have deep water streams/trenches where your ball could roll in to either just before holes or through the fairways. This is a good challenging course one of the better ones I've played, lots of challenging issues to deal with from lots of bunkers guarding elevated two tier greens to forest hazards on either side of the fairway where hooking or slicing will cost you! You got to be able to shape your shots especially when you play from the back tees! Lots of potential in this course!!! Amenities are good, clubhouse looks nice! If it did get a face lift this could be a special course!, but if it just got some TLC on some of the main complaints on said issues or main issues that always are complained about from golfers, this would be a good solid course which is fine in my book!!!
Fun course, challenging, and SO beat up.
Beautiful scenery. Challenging course. Tough to make a put over clumps of weeds. Golf is hard enough without trying to time getting it in the clown’s mouth at mini golf. Put some effort into green maintenance please.
It Use To Be Better
I thought the course conditions were a little rough. The greens need some work. Spotty growth of another grass on greens is unacceptable. The course doesn’t look like it gets enough attention as far as maintenance goes. The price should be a little lower, until course is brought up to justify price.
Great course
Great set up, nice staff, good place of play
Difficult course though 😀
Chasing Pars at Eagle Ridge
Tucked in scenic canyons and surrounded by beautiful homes, Eagle Ridge offers stunning views and a tough, rewarding round. Open yet tight fairways and unforgiving greens demand precision, but the good pace of play makes it a joy to play.
top 20 toughest?
this course was noted as being one of the top 20 toughest in Bay Area...had to give it a shot...in whole, Cinnabar and Crystal Springs were tougher...but 12-17 were worth the price of admission...go enjoy
Local Red
Course is in a gate housing community, so the area is gorgeous. The tee boxes, and especially the greens, need immediate and lots of TLC. The greens all 18 have weed type growth everywhere. Some had marks that went well beyond those that are left from a ball. Several tee boxes on the Par 3 and 4 holes for white tee were poorly and inconsistently maintained.
Good course, good value, need better maintence
In the front 9, followed groups of tournament. They were one hour behind. Had to wait every hole. All good pace in back 9.
Course conditions now a bit spotty.
First Time Visit
this course was recently listed as one of the 20 toughest in NorCA...opportunity presented and I took it, riding solo yesterday....nice staff, decent conditions and maintenance, which was a little disappointing...nice track especially 13-17 were not for the faint of heart...go visit...you'll enjoy I'm sure...
In general
Course was in great shape. Pace of play was spot on. Starter was on time.
Pin placements were challenging. Difficult to read.
Overall, had a good time. Restaurant was not open. Would of enjoyed a meal after round.
Course deteriorated a lot
This used to one of my favorite course due to it’s semi-private,
However, I was surprised to see how the course condition is now even worse than some public ones.
Even I paid $40 thru Hot deal from GN, don’t feel it’s worth if the experience.
What a DUMP
What an absolute joke, no wonder this course is the laughingstock of the south bay golf community. Course is in absolute shambles, clubhouse is a dump, food/bev is atrocious. It’s obvious that management has no clue what they’re doing, this place is run like a mom & pop liquor store. Don’t look at the pictures and think you’re getting that; instead, expect weeds/wildflowers/clover everywhere, weed THATCHES growing on the tee boxes and fringes, dirt patches everywhere, and never being able to play your ball without first moving it to an acceptable lie. This place isn’t worth $30, let alone the price they’re charging which is comparable Cinnabar/Coyote/SJO. Don’t give these people your money, you will leave disappointed no matter what.
Not worth the money
Restaurant closed, on a Friday. Course was in ok shape, should be better considering it’s spring time. Greens have weeds growing on them. For over $100 weekend rate, it’s just not worth it. I answered that I wouldn’t recommend, but I would if it was less expensive to play for what you get.
