About
Located about an hour from both the Monterey Peninsula and the San Francisco Bay area is Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, a city known as the "Garlic Capital of the World" and just east of Santa Cruz. Eagle Ridge's 18 holes of modern-designed championship golf are set amongst the oak forest foothills since it opened in 2000. The golf course features six sets of tee boxes, 92 bunkers, three lakes, seven creeks and also features many multi-tiered greens so it can play as challenging as golfers of any skill level would like. Eagle Ridge Golf Club also features full practice, restaurant and clubhouse facilities.

Eagle Ridge
They increased their green fees alot
It was getting too crowded
Dome fairway were brown lack of water
Greens in good shape
Needs Help
Poor attention to tee boxes. Weeds all over. Can't stick peg in the ground on many tees. Many dry and bare fairways. Traps inconsistent on sand.
Dried up fw's
Greens weren't very well maintained and the fairways really needed water lots of bare spots even in the middle of fairways.
San Juan Oaks is back and better !
What a great experience to get back out at SJ Oaks since it reopened. Yea, it costs a little more to play, but it is about the same as everywhere else. The staff was extremely friendly, the course is in great shape, the facilities are beautiful and the food was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! I would go back just to eat lunch! I will be back out at SJ Oaks a lot more often.
Weeds on greens
Played many times without much complaint. Has been fairly good for the money. But this time too much weeds on every single greens, bumps and unexpected breaks due to weeds. I can’t complain about the pin placement but every holes placement were evil and given the green surface could be way better, overall disappointed.
Challenging course, poor conditions
The course really seems to have a lot of potential. Interesting layout, challenging narrow fairways. Some of the hole placements seemed to be punishing for the sake of being punishing. Had multiple holes where I ended up on the fairway and was in the middle of a dirt patch. Many of the greens are full of un-repaired patches of what look like weeds that have been cut short.
Mixed Bag
Course is tough. Every part of your game is tested. Course wasn’t it great shape, but the greens and traps were good. Got a pretty good value on GolfNow Hot Deal.

Beautiful course but sins rough spots too. Bathrooms filthy. Course was pretty good. Greens very fair
Eagle Ridge
One of the best courses in San Jose area . Well laid out, maintained and challenging. Worth every penny.
It was ok
The course was in decent condition, however, many greens had weeds (trimmed flat) and some dead areas (no grass, just a hole with no grass growing). We played on a Sunday and the pin positions were challenging, which made things difficult, but fun.
It's not worth the full weekend price, fortunately, I took advantage of the golf now deal.
Greens need help
The fairways were in great shape.
The Greens, well I've seen much better, unbelievably slow, and intertwined with weeds on every green, cut short mind you but very distracting.
Hopefully the Course reads these reviews.
