Fun Course- But the condition is a little rough currently
The course is in decent condition. My only real gripe here is the invasive light green weeds that are growing on the greens and the invasive grasses on the fringe and surrounds of the greens. It was difficult to putt because there were patches of these weeds between my ball and the cup that causes the ball to jump and sends it on a different line
don't waste your money
Got a HotDeal and still wasn't worth it. Save your money.
Gone downhill
Hadn't played this course in 20+ years. If not for Hot Deal rate I would have been very angry about paying at or near 3 figures to play here. Course is in poor shape relative to the lush fairways I recall. Greens have spotty patches of different grass. Weeds abound in many slots. Sent me out as a single between 2 foursomes. No chipping area for non members. It's a nice layout/place to escape munis and other busy bay area courses but otherwise a waste of $$$. Nearby Cinnabar Hills much nicer for same $$$.
wow going downhill
I have played at Eagle Ridge for over 30 years and 3 different owners Course is in ragged shape although greens are good BUT. I have never seen so many ground squirrels on the course. I counted 80 just on the 18th fairway
They have a real problem there
also a guy named Manny was very rude to us
but I will continue to support them and play there nonetheless
Great course, poor pace of play
We played on7/15 with my buddy and had a perfect game up to hole 14 . Pace of play was great up to 14, then we got 4 parties on the whole, so we decided to quit and went through the process ship,.
On the way we crossed people and realized that was only couple of twosome blocking the entirr game, skipped 15 16 and play 18
You should have a marshal to avoid this
Eagle Ridge
They increased their green fees alot
It was getting too crowded
Dome fairway were brown lack of water
Greens in good shape
Needs Help
Poor attention to tee boxes. Weeds all over. Can't stick peg in the ground on many tees. Many dry and bare fairways. Traps inconsistent on sand.
Dried up fw's
Greens weren't very well maintained and the fairways really needed water lots of bare spots even in the middle of fairways.
San Juan Oaks is back and better !
What a great experience to get back out at SJ Oaks since it reopened. Yea, it costs a little more to play, but it is about the same as everywhere else. The staff was extremely friendly, the course is in great shape, the facilities are beautiful and the food was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!!! I would go back just to eat lunch! I will be back out at SJ Oaks a lot more often.
Weeds on greens
Played many times without much complaint. Has been fairly good for the money. But this time too much weeds on every single greens, bumps and unexpected breaks due to weeds. I can’t complain about the pin placement but every holes placement were evil and given the green surface could be way better, overall disappointed.
Challenging course, poor conditions
The course really seems to have a lot of potential. Interesting layout, challenging narrow fairways. Some of the hole placements seemed to be punishing for the sake of being punishing. Had multiple holes where I ended up on the fairway and was in the middle of a dirt patch. Many of the greens are full of un-repaired patches of what look like weeds that have been cut short.
Mixed Bag
Course is tough. Every part of your game is tested. Course wasn’t it great shape, but the greens and traps were good. Got a pretty good value on GolfNow Hot Deal.
