Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course

About
Nestled at the base of the San Jacinto Mountains, Indian Canyons Golf Resort offers two championship courses with stunning views. The two golf courses, North and South, have completely different layouts but they are both sheltered from the wind thanks to the surrounding mountains. The South Course is the shorter of the two, making it the more player-friendly course. That is not to say it is not a challenge though. The rolling fairways are framed by contoured mounding and four expansive lakes come into play on six holes. The par 5s are particularly memorable. There are also well over 1,300 palm trees throughout the golf course, which includes hundreds of Washingtonia filifera palms. These trees are native to the Agua Caliente Tribe and an important part of their history.

Course is in very good shape. Some greens were a little beaten up.
Pace was slow- we had to call pro shop to have a ranger move slower players. Need more rangers
Indian canyon south
I always enjoy playing this golf course. It is always in good condition,but the time of play was a little longer than the Normal4 hours. Will play it again before I head for home.JB
Golf now booking was a bad decision
We had a rainy day, due to that the range was closed, no cart service, and 90 degree rule was in effect. There’s no recourse with golf now, so we paid the full rate for a partial experience. I’d play it again, the setting is really nice with mountain backdrops framing the shots, but would book directly in the future as it would have been likely the pro shop would have accounted for the conditions

Beautiful views, staff very friendly and welcoming. Course in great condition. You do have to pay for range balls so factor that in cost. A bit pricey relative to other courses in the same shape but certainly a nice, fun course

My favourite course in Palm Springs area. Playing here is a must when we visit. It is women friendly and the course is always in excellent condition. The scenery is beautiful!

Great Course
Pace was a little slow for me 4:40, but course was in great shape with interesting layout.
Unbelievably Windy
The day started off with a slow round but then the wind blew we think 50mph plus. Branches and lots of debris littered the course. When we phoned into the pro shop they said the course was open so they would not do anything.
Check the wind even here before you book.
Nice course but caught a day with 50 MPH sustained winds. Could barely stand at the end. The ball could be blown several feet on the greens. Took some pleasure from what would have been a nice day.
Not Even a Partial Rebate when wind conditions made course unplayable.
Wind conditions of 40+ mph made the course virtually unplayable - especially by the back 9. Also a definite safety concern with falling palm branches and smaller trees snapping in half. Impossible to keep your balance on the tee box. Par 3's into this kind of wind took a driver to reach the green. When I contacted the pro shop - they said no refunds or partial rebates would be provided. Doesn't encourage you to return to this course.
Great course! My favorite in the valley
This Course has very “female” friendly Tee boxes. It’s not too tough but still has plenty of penalty areas to cause trouble! Beautiful course in gorgeous area of valley.
Gorgeous layout
Well-manicured, fun layout that falls short of excellent due to the lack of amenities you’d expect for the price: no GPS in carts, too few carts for the high traffic, and range balls at $7 per.
Play it at least once for the vistas.
Bad restaurant and drivingrange
Course is in good condition. Drivingrange is bad with little grass. Paying $7 for balls when there is no grass to hit from is a waist. Pace is too slow and no one is doing anything about it.
Course was in excellent condition and pace of play was good.
Weather was great so overall we had a really enjoyable day
Will be back next time we’re in Pam Springs
