Indian Canyons Golf Resort - South Course

I go down to PS about 3-4 times a year and try to always get a round or two in at Indian Canyons South. Great track!

While we were on 18 the foursome behind us hit their drives and almost hit us, then challenged us to a fight four on two. We were not playing slow and they skipped holes to get behind us. Complaints to course staff were met with oh well. This is the only course in the valley I have experienced this. A word to the wise the jerks play this course!

Don’t attempt to play before 6:30am. I had a 6:30 tee time and had hoped to get out 15-20 mins early (as you should do ideally playing in the desert) I’ve never encountered a course out of the hundreds I’ve played that won’t allow you to go out a little early! The reason I was given was that the maintance crew would be interrupted if I started too early. It was just annoying that the pro shop employee was almost enjoying this little power trip of not allowing me to play early. Long story short...don’t assume you can get off a bit early because it won’t happen. The course was in great shape, truly. I’ve played about a dozen courses in the area and it ranks top 3 for me. Greens rolled smooth and true, fairways well maintained, and bunkers were raked to perfection. It was worth every bit of the $70 I paid. The course isn’t overly difficult and most fairways (like many here in the desert) funnel to the middle so it’s fairly forgiving. A couple good risk/reward holes. They charge $7 for a small warm up bucket of balls which is weak since most courses here include that in the round but oh well. All in all it’s a great course and I had fun, I’d recommend it if you are visiting the area. Play here and avoid the north course. The south course is a complete 180 from the north in a good way!

This is one of if not the nicest courses, if not the nicest course i have played in the Palm Springs area. I cannot find anything that was not up to my expectations. looking forward to playing this course again!

My wife and I really enjoyed playing the Indian Canyon South course. The course was in great condition and tee boxes allowed for appropriate level of play. It was a lot of fun.

Played it many times, greens were a little slow, but overall this place is great. Look forward to my next round.
