Honey Bee Golf Club
About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

Fun course
This was time playing Hunnybee and I really enjoyed it. Most of the greens were in pretty good condition and it’s a very interesting layout.
Hot Day on the Course
The course is in very good condition, the layout is nice. Very nice place to play..
Overbooked
Course was overbooked. Seemed to be a disconnect from staff/internet bookings and starter being updated. I had to wait almost an hour after tee time for a cart. I had a good time otherwise.
goose crap
My first time at this course, my wife and I were playing on our anniversary. Beautiful weather. The problem was so much goose crap everywhere! Totally gross. we are used to some around on local courses, but this was the worse I have ever seen. Several tee boxes were almost unusable. They should do something about these migratory birds that dont migrate. Don't think I would go back or recommend it to others.
My favorite VB course!
Course is always in great condition. Challenging layout makes you use every shot and club in your bag.
Nice but crappy
Appeared to be a nice course, but the amount of goose crap everywhere was disgusting. Some tee boxes were almost unusable. The geese were in the way everywhere. I doubt if I would go back because of that. They really should take a look at that, because it really turns people off. Especially when they have to pay a premium price.
So many geese and bare patches
Course isn’t in bad shape, but for $60 should be quite a bit better.
Greens really shaggy and have bare patches on them, tee boxes are ok but need a lot more maintenance. Standing water on a few holes even though it hasn’t rained in a few days, bunkers rocky in some and others great.
Pace of play! And players: pace of play finished 18 in about 4 hours so pretty good for a full course, Players… a lot of “hey a ball grab it” had my ball picked up 4 different times. One time it was in the other fairway and the guy just played it without looking at it and other times just off my own fairway and someone shanked across their hole and then took mine in the process. Pretty crazy greedy.
Overall it’s ok but not worth the money. Needs actual maintenance on it. If your a really bad golfer this course is for you.
Great Day, Bad Golfers
Course was great! Conditions were great! All of that was overshadowed by the guys that were behind us. Our group was keeping up with the guys in front of us the entire round but the guys behind us hit up on us several times. We tried to be understanding but after the 2nd time it became very annoying. there was nowhere for us to go. The Marshall came by and warned them twice and then on the final hole they did it again and we had about had it at that point in time. It definitely took all the fun out of the entire day especially after paying almost 60 bucks a person.
You’d think
You’d think a course with this great reputation would let you know they are aerating greens and maybe knock some of the 52 off of your bill, or at least just make you aware. Turning into Stumpy Lake V2..
