About
Nestled in the heart of Virginia Beach, Honey Bee Golf Club is one of the area's most popular daily-fee golfing venues. Rees Jones designed the course, incorporating water on 10 holes as well as intricate bunkering throughout. The challenging layout has several tricky doglegs and some treacherous blind shots as well. It's a golf course that demands careful course management and some strategic thinking. Accurate shot placement is also key when maneuvering the rolling fairways and contoured greens. While it's by no means an easy golf course, it is an enjoyable round for players of all skill levels, making it a popular venue for tournaments and corporate outings. For golfers looking to get an entire day of golf in, Honey Bee's sister club, Stumpy Lake, is only about half a mile away.

A little expensive for the course, pace of play, and condition of greens
I didn’t have a bad experience at all. But it was very slow and the greens were in rough shape. Those are two key parts of my experience on the golf course
Struggling
Greens and bunkers have fallen into disrepair. Pace of play slower than average and not proactively enforced. Great layout so has potential to be much better.
The gentleman behind the counter
The gentleman behind the counter on the date played was very friendly and helpful. The best experience I’ve had with an employee to date.
Horrible Staff
Josh at the pro shop is the reason ill never play this course again. Was caught in the middle of multiple lies and walks away during a conversation. The Only time rules apply is when you're not a friend of Josh. Also don’t book 18 past 3:30 because even though you’ll finish all 18, Josh wont let you. Waste of money and Lost a lot of business.
Love the layout of this course. The summer heat and dryness has put some bad spots on some of the greens. As long as you didn’t have those in your line, they putted nice and true. Rest is course was in good condition and played well. Already set another tee time to play it again
Decent Course but Aweful Green Conditions
The tee boxes and fairways were in fair to good conditions but greens were in terrible condition.
Vacation Play
First time playing this course! Greens need work but all and all a day out playing golf on a decent course! And the price was right! Go play
Pace of play was way to slow. 5 hrs, 20 minutes on a Tuesday. Greens are not very good. Enjoyed the layout and tees and fairways were fine.
Good layout
Layout is good. Fairways were in good shape greens were not but playable. Here on vacation in Sandbridge Va. paired up with a very nice couple! Overall it was a great day! Can’t complain to much when you’re out on a golf course! Would play it again if vacationing in this area again! Ty!
