Coyote Run Golf Course
About
Located just 40 minutes from downtown Chicago, Coyote Run Golf Course is one of the area's best golf values. At just under 6,478 yards from the back tees, the course is challenging enough for the scratch golfer but gentle enough for less advanced players to approach with confidence. Each of the three tees offers a unique look and feel, providing plenty of variety. Water plays a prominent role on the golf course, coming into play on a total of 11 holes beginning with the opening hole. The tee shot on this par 4 requires a carry over water to a generous landing area. Careful course management and skillful approaches to the sloped greens are the key to doing well on this layout. Coyote Run G.C. also boasts a lighted driving range with grass tees and four target greens, practice putting and chipping greens, and even a three-hole practice course.

Greens poor condition
was a great course seems like there are no grounds crew to keepnup with the condition of the fairway or greens very beat up.
Great track for the price
Walked for $35 and it was well worth it. Fun course that is not overly challenging due to being on the short side for yardage. Makes for an easy walk. The pace of play was terrible, not due to bad players in front of us, there were just too many people on the course. Would be much more enjoyable if they spaced out the rounds a bit more.
Worth the drive!
The course is in great condition. The greens are tough - quick downhill, hard to reach going uphill, plenty of break on the sidehills, and they turn away at the cup! You’ll have a very enjoyable round even if you don’t score well.
Can Someone Teach People to Repair Their Ballmarks
Coyote Run is a nice track - a little on the short side even from back tees. It was in good shape for the most part but greens ran really rough because players don’t know how to repair ballmarks in greens.
Playing early
Most of my golf is played early mornings. One of the issues I encounter playing so early is dewy greens . My tee time was 6:30am - all of the greens were dew free, cut and maybe even rolled. Course layout is good, conditions good. Good job all round.
Challenging, Taken Care of, Good fun
Would for sure play this course again. Felt the challenge, especially the fast greens, but had a good time the whole round.
Great course but very slow play
Coyote run is a very well kept course. Staff was friendly. Amenities are great. Pace of play was terribly slow. The rangers did the best they could, but ultimately, pace will be slow when tee times are every 8 minutes.
Nice Course Overall
Sand traps were well maintained during this odd time. The bartender, Chrissy, for the after golf fun was friendly and super attentive
Howling Fun
I hadn't played the course in a couple years, but remembered it was an interesting course and it proved to be that again. I really enjoyed the course and its challenges. I am sure that you will also enjoy this course. It was in great condition throughout.
